Items d'intérêt provenant de la réunion du Conseil du mois de mars

De nombreuses mesures d’atténuation de vitesse on étés établies, suite à la première rencontre du nouveau Comité de circulation.

Le conseil a octroyé à l'entreprise Marquage et Traçage du Québec inc., le contrat de marquage à base d’eau des lignes de rues et stationnements, pour un montant de 36 329.25 $ avant taxes.

Le conseil a renouvelé le contrat de collecte, transport et disposition des déchets domestiques et volumineux, sans le volet de collecte de feuilles, avec Robert Daoust et Fils inc. pour une durée d’un an, pour un montant de 259 312.47 $.

CAFÉ AVEC LA MAIRESSE

Le samedi, 11 mars de 10h à midi 539, rue Main (la maison Halcro)

Les résidents et les propriétaires d’entreprises du district 1 sont invités à rencontrer leur conseiller de district, Douglas Smith, le mercredi 15 mars à 19 h au Centre Créatif Hudson, 273, rue Main.

RAPPELS ET DATES À RETENIR

Le changement d’heure qui aura lieu dans la nuit du 11 au 12 mars 2023 est le moment propice pour vérifier vos détecteurs de fumée. Voici quelques conseils :

● Appuyez quelques secondes sur le bouton d’essai, un avertisseur en bon état émet un signal immédiatement,

● Testez la capacité à détecter de la fumée en éteignant une chandelle près de l’avertisseur,

● Remplacez vos avertisseurs de fumée tous les 10 ans. La date de fabrication ou d’expiration est indiquée sur le boîtier. En l’absence d’une telle date, ne prenez aucun risque, remplacez immédiatement l’appareil,

● Installez un avertisseur de fumée par étage y compris le sous-sol et idéalement dans chaque chambre à coucher, en vous assurant qu’aucun obstacle ne bloque la fumée.

COMPTES D'IMPÔT FONCIER MUNICIPAUX

EMPLACEMENT DES BACS ROULANTS POUR LES COLLECTES

Rappel: en hiver, en raison du déneigement, les bacs doivent être placés avec les roues vers votre résidence et à 1 mètre de la rue dans l’entrée charretière, et non pas dans la rue ni sur le trottoir.

FERMETURES DE RUES - SAMEDI 18 MARS

1. La rue Côte St-Charles entre la rue Ridge et la rue Main, de 10h jusqu’à approximativement 15h,

2. La rue Main, entre la rue Côte St-Charles et la rue Beach, de 12h30 jusqu’à approximativement 15h,

3. Le stationnement du Centre communautaire, du vendredi soir 17 mars, jusqu’à environ 16h le 18 mars.

4. Le stationnement est fortement limité dans le secteur entre les rues Main et Lakeview et le long de la déviation.

COUNCIL MEETING

Items of interest from the March 6th Town Council meeting

Numerous speed reduction measures were implemented following the first meeting of the new Circulation Committee.

The council awarded the contract for the water-based painting of the street lines and parking lots Marquage et Traçage du Québec inc., in the amount of $36,329.25 before taxes.

Council renewed the contract for the collection, transportation and disposal of domestic and bulky waste, without the leaf collection component, with Robert Daoust et Fils inc. for a one-year period, for an amount of $259,312.47.

COFFEE WITH THE MAYOR

Saturday, March 11th from 10 am to noon, 539, Main Road (Halcro Cottage)

Residents and business owners residing in District 1 are invited to meet with their district councillor, Douglas Smith, on Wednesday, March 15th, at 7: pm at the Hudson Creative Hub, 273 Main Road.

REMINDERS AND NOTABLE DATES

The time change during the night of March 11 - 12, 2023, is the perfect time to check your smoke detectors. Here are a few tips :

● Press the test button for a few seconds; a properly functioning alarm will signal immediately,

● Test the ability to detect smoke by extinguishing a candle near the alarm,

● Replace your smoke alarms every 10 years. The date of manufacture or expiration is marked on the housing. If there is no such date, do not take any chances; replace the unit immediately, and

● Install one smoke alarm per floor, including the basement and ideally in each bedroom, making sure there are no obstructions to block the smoke.

MUNICIPAL TAX BILLS

Municipal tax bills are payable in up to three equal instalments. The first instalment is due on Thursday, March 23rd.

PLACING OF WHEELED BINS FOR COLLECTION

A reminder that in winter, because of snow removal operations, bins must be placed 1 meter from the street in your driveway entrance, with the wheels facing your home.

STREET CLOSURES - SATURDAY, MARCH 18

1. Côte St-Charles between Ridge and Main Road, from 10 am until approximately 3 pm;

2. Main Road, between Côte St-Charles and Beach, from 12:30 pm until approximately 3 pm;

3. The Community Center parking lot, from Friday evening, March 17, until approximately 4 pm on March 18.

4. Parking is severely restricted between Main Roadt and Lakeview and along the detour route.
