Due to an internal promotion, an opportunity has arisen for an HR Assistant to provide proactive and efficient support to the Head of HR and wider HR Team. This is a varied and exciting role, providing exposure across the HR function within a large and successful independent boarding school.
Millfield is one of the leading UK independent schools for boys and girls, aged 2-18 years. Millfield is not like other schools and never has been. Working within an HR team, and reporting to the Head of HR, you will be responsible for providing high quality and proactive HR support. You’ll need to be exceptionally well organised, and will poses great interpersonal skills, with the ability to think decisively and act proactively. You won’t mind getting stuck into day-to-day tasks whilst always thinking of the bigger picture.
Key duties of the HR Assistant include (but not limited to):
The successful individual will ideally have previous experience in a HR Assistant position in a complex organisation. Experience within a school setting is also advantageous however not essential.
The post requires demonstratable administrative skills including strong knowledge of the full Microsoft Office Suite, attention to detail, a pro-active approach to work and the ability to work in a confidential and professional way. Knowledge of employment law and Safeguarding/ vetting checks is highly advantageous but training will be provided.
This is a full-time position working 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday.
