Professional Development Fund Course Interest Form
A consistent theme we heard from university leaders was that budget cuts have hit professional development hard. Moving from crisis to crisis and lockdown to lockdown has left little time for zooming out and skills development.

Handshake created the Early Careers Recovery Fund to help. As part of the initiative we are supporting our university partners with a Professional Development Fund to invest in your growth. Partnering with Future Learn to provide our partners will access to 100s of on-demand short course from universities and specialist organisations.

Based on feedback on the topics that were of most interest to our university partners we have curated a list of courses on the below;
- Project Management
- Digital Marketing and Content
- Data & SQL
- Artificial Intelligence
- Learning Design & Teaching
- Leadership
- Neurodiversity

Using this form you can confirm which course/s (maximum 3) you would like to enrol on. Once we have your request it will be reviewed and once confirmed you will receive an email directly from Future Learn to invite you to enrol on your course.

You can also explore the wide range of other courses available from Future Learn and submit a custom course request in the Other section at the end of this form. More information on all the Short Course available can be found at https://www.futurelearn.com/courses

We encourage all Handshake Professional Development Fund participants to discuss the course/s they would like to enrol on with their managers to support continued professional development.
