Carolyn Wilkins joins BoE’s financial policy committee

Former Bank of Canada deputy governor will replace Donald Kohn on FPC

Carolyn Wilkins, former senior deputy governor at the Bank of Canada, has been appointed to the Bank of England’s financial policy committee by the UK’s finance minister.

Rishi Sunak announced Wilkins will replace Donald Kohn who has been a member of the FPC since its creation in 2013. Kohn stepped down at the end of March.

The FPC is responsible for setting macro-prudential policy within the UK. The committee consists of 13 members, which include the BoE’s governor, four deputy governors and
