Thrilled to share that I recently completed a cross-exposure training in the Stewarding department at Waldorf Astoria Lusail Doha under the expert guidance of Sanoob Nazar and Rohith Nileashwar. Many have asked me about the rationale behind this unique experience, given the common perception that stewarding mainly involves pot washing and cleaning. While those aspects are indeed part of stewarding, the experience provided a rich learning environment that expanded my skill set significantly. Beyond the expected, here are some of the many key skills I honed during this cross-training: 1️⃣ **Organizational Efficiency:** Mastering the art of managing resources and maintaining a seamless workflow in a high-paced environment. 2️⃣ **Communication:** Collaborating effectively with diverse teams, fostering clear communication channels for streamlined operations. 3️⃣ **Problem-Solving:** Developing quick and effective solutions to challenges encountered, a crucial skill applicable across various professional scenarios. 4️⃣ **Team Coordination:** Understanding the importance of teamwork and coordination in achieving common goals. 5️⃣ **Adaptability:** Navigating through diverse tasks and responsibilities with agility, showcasing adaptability in a dynamic work setting. Contrary to the norm, I believe in breaking stereotypes and exploring diverse opportunities. Undertaking cross-training in stewarding was a deliberate choice aligned with both my short-term and long-term career goals.
