Joint AGRI-ENVI public hearing on "the impact of the Farm to Fork Strategy on agriculture and food systems"
On 25 January 2022, ENVI and AGRI Committees held a joint hearing on "The impact of the Farm to Fork Strategy on agriculture and food systems". The hearing comprised two panels; the first was focusing on the general impacts of the Strategy as assessed by a European and an American research institution; the second panel looked at adaptation strategies, based on studies from two independent organisations. This Hearing gave Members of both Committees the opportunity to discuss the actual impact of the Strategies, its links to other policies and the way forward to a sustainable food system, benefitting European farmers and citizens alike.
