About this ebook

All I wanted is for my little sister Della to be safe and happy. And maybe, in brief stolen moments, I dreamed of a happy ending for myself with a brown-eyed man. That hope has turned into sharp, bright fear. There's only survival now.

I'm the daughter of a controlling and cruel billionaire, so I understand about power. But I find myself fighting anyway. I find myself testing them.

I have claws and I bite. I’m not going down without a fight.

It's like I have a death wish.

Welcome to the Midnight Dynasty... The warring Morelli and Constantine families have enough bad blood to fill an ocean, and their brand new stories will be told by your favorite dangerous romance authors.

WARNING: This book is intended for readers eighteen years old and over. It contains material that some readers could find disturbing. Enter at your own risk...

Book two of the Deception Duet picks up right where book one left off. Landry and Della have finally escaped their father, but instead of running to the safety of Ty Constantine, have landed in the clutches of Scout. Naturally, Landry is pissed that Ford Mann doesn’t exist and is actually a creation of the Mannford triplets but, after a little protestation, the romance gets going again. In comparison to the ending of Triple Threat, the first half of Death Wish moves quite slowly. Everybody’s hiding out in the triplet’s apartment with nothing but Landry’s half-hearted rage keeping the story moving. It is, however, inevitable that her father finds her and Della and they end up back in their ivory tower. At this point, Landry grows a bit of a backbone. I say a bit because bouncing back from all she’s endured, I’d expect far more anger and resentment from her instead of the ‘sit and take it’ attitude. She’s looking for a way out of her situation, but at the end of the day, she’s really waiting for the triplets to come and rescue her. As for the brothers, their plan isn’t all that impressive and it could easily go belly up. I’m not one for spoiling an ending, but it does become more predictable as the story goes on. When the brothers share their plan with Landry it’s obvious what will go wrong and I was left feeling no surprise or shock when that happened. If I’m honest, I didn’t feel that Death Wish followed through on the promise of Triple Threat, nor the ideas shared in the blurb. After this, I’m not sure I’d bother with any other books set in this world.

Landry..a standing ovation and a thousand thunderous claps for doing a difficult job so easily. That is bringing three crooken deviant fckd up men to their knees. And yeah, Scout is still my favourite. He is the most unhinged and out of control. He literally scares me a lot of the time. So the sweetness and softness coming out from him was just out of this world. Sparrow may be a little more balanced but his jealous possessive side is just dangerous and delicious. Sully is the composed and rational one of the bunch but Landry drove him crazy too. They thought they will make Landry beg for them but it was opposite. This girl came out with claws and war cry and I love this fierce girl. She is ready to battle against the world to protect her sister. She has been hurt and abused but she has not lost her fire. And her three antiheroes helped her all the way. They have some unique connection. That is more than the filthy dirty debauched sex. They fit with each other like a puzzle. (Arc revi

Shocked, gutted, torn, tattered, and put back together again. That was K does to you. She destroys every ounce of feeling and emotion you have and when you think you're done or had enough... she gives you something that puts you back together! I have loved Scout from the beginning; I love that he stays true to himself throughout the entire books. He has sooo much love for Landry and Della but will; go back in time and do all the messed up things over and over again. I love the other two, Scout just always stood out for me! He is MINE lol 😍😈🥵 Go into these books blind, you will not be disappointed!
