About this ebook

Fake dating my sworn enemy to make my ex so jealous he can't see straight?

Worth it.

Silas and I agree on one thing, and one thing only: my ruthless, heartless, narcissistic jerk of an ex-fiance needs to be taken down a notch.

So we do what anyone would do: we pretend to be a couple.

Even though Silas and I are polar opposites. Silas is a loud, cheerful, over the top showboat. He’s his hometown’s golden boy, the Marine who came back to rescue kittens from trees and walk old ladies across the street.

And me? I'm the awkward new girl who freezes up around strangers and can’t make small talk to save my life.

It shouldn’t work. We can barely have a conversation without arguing. There's no way we should be friends, let alone dating, except... Everyone believes it.

Especially my ex.

Now I'm having way too many real fantasies about the man who gets on my last nerve. My fake boyfriend is starting to feel a whole lot like a real one.

The kisses feel real.

The way he protects me feels real.

The night we spend together in a hotel bed feels very real.

This was supposed to be fake, but I think I might have fooled myself most of all.

The One Month Boyfriend is the first book in the Wildwood Society series, and can be read as a total standalone. It's for fans of high heat enemies-to-lovers romantic comedies, and features two enemies who fake date for revenge, a quirky, charming small town, a former military cinnamon roll hero, a grumpy heroine who's charmed despite herself, anxiety and PTSD representation, and plenty of steamy scene. Of course, there's an HEA.

This series is for fans of Kathyrn Nolan, Elizabeth O'Roark, Kate Canterbary, and Melanie Harlow.

I enjoyed this book. There was so much here that I could truly relate to and that made Silas and Kat's story sometimes sinfully easy to read and other times quite difficult. I want to say this right up front; I thought that this author did an amazing job in portraying anxiety and PTSD accurately and honestly. This well written book kept me engaged and invested as this couple's relationship evolved and the story unfolded. My heart ached for these two and I liked them a lot. They were complex characters that you really needed to explore their layers to get a clear picture of who they honestly were. I loved them together and found the balance of barbs and sweetness and sparks and cuteness very pleasing. I do wish though that we had dived a bit deeper as far as Kat went. Silas was a lot more open to talking about his issues and while if you consider Kat's personality, it kind of made sense that she wasn't very open to talking, I still feel that this was a huge missing piece to them becoming a rock-solid couple. Even with that pet peeve though I thought this was a great read and I'm excited to read more of this series. This is my freely posted frank review.

I absolutely adored this story! I loved finally getting Silas's story (met and see him in the Loveless brothers series). Kat and Silas have a history and this time around they have a crazy idea to help them both, if they can just get along long enough to pull off the ruse, that is until real feelings start getting involved. This book pulled me in from beginning to end. There was plenty to grab and hold my attention with the situations that pop up. I adored this and can't wait for more!

This book is the start of the Wildwood Society series. Silas Flynn is a side character from her Loveless Brother's series. He is a charmer and just a lovely character. In his own book, Silas seems to have met the perfect cure for his troubled soul. Kat is a bit prickly and anxious. The two enter into a fake relationship and there are all kinds of benefits both good and maybe unexpected and quite interesting. Of course, attraction happens and neither know quite what to do. Add this to Kat's panic attacks and PTSD and both of them coming to terms with themselves and each other. This turned out to be another wonderful story from this author. This book was filled with some awesome humor, witty banter, light hearted moments, some emotional moments, great side characters, and a beautiful HEA. It was well written and spicy. I look forward to the rest of the series. I do recommend The One Month Boyfriend and I hope everyone who reads it enjoys it as much as I did.

About the author

I love writing sexy, rugged men and the headstrong women they fall for.

My weaknesses include: beards, whiskey, nice abs with treasure trails, sarcasm, cats, prowess in the kitchen, prowess in the bedroom, forearm tattoos, and gummi bears.

I live in California with my very own sexy, bearded, whiskey-loving husband and two hell-raising cats.
