Garlic & Herb Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds starchy potatoes (like russet, idaho or yukon gold), clean and unpeeled
  • 1-2 tablespoons kosher salt
  • 1 cup diced soft butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 garlic clove
  • thyme and rosemary to taste
  • nutmeg to taste
  • salt and pepper to taste

Steps

  1. Put the potatoes in a large pot with cold water and salt.
  2. Bring to a simmer, cover and cook for 25-30 minutes (until well done).
