There are many elements that provide information to your genes, such as stress, exercise, lifestyle and environmental factors; but nothing is more significant than food and nutrients. Food is packages of information that speak to your genes. Nutrigenomics which is also known as nutritional genomics is broadly defined as the relationship between nutrients, diet, and gene expression. Nutrigenomics allows you to understand how the food you eat and food bioactive components; interact with your genes and influence your health. Eating the right foods can help your genes correct the errors that are caused by genetic mutations, toxins and free radicals, and help to improve your health. So, what instructions are you giving to your body with the food you are eating?
