CELEBRATE AFRICAN HERITAGE WITH HALIFAX PUBLIC LIBRARIES
2024 marks 40 years of partnership between Halifax Public Libraries and The Black History Month Association in honouring Black History Month in Halifax.
This year’s provincial theme for African Heritage Month is: Our Smiles, Our Joy, Our Resilience as African Nova Scotians. We are proud to honour this theme with another fantastic year of programming led by community members and groups.
The TD Ready Commitment is the presenting sponsor of African Heritage Month 2024 at Halifax Public Libraries. Their support makes it possible for us to host and share high quality African Heritage programs and content once again this year.
Enjoy exploring this collection—and check back often for new events, stories, community features, and gallery updates (including video content!).
