The year of 2021 will be challenging and varied for many workshops across the UK and Europe, with the current economic environment the country is experiencing there are strong signs more than ever that newer vehicles will start hitting independent garages sooner than they would have previously as consumers look for ‘value for money’. 1234yf has now been the refrigerant of choice in all new manufactured vehicles since the start of 2017, these 4-year-old cars are now coming out of their warranty and service packages and entering the aftermarket. Coupled with those vehicles running on 1234yf since 2013, this year has never been a better year to invest in a 1234yf machine. With the numbers estimated at just over a 1/3 of vehicles having 1234yf it is an opportunity to not be missed out on. Many new cars on the road will now have air conditioning fitted as standard, identifying the

Software Updates Software is regularly updated so it is important to ensure your machine is using the latest operating software to ensure its full efficiency. Refrigerant Recovery How often do you check the oil level and performance if the internal compressor? Both of these should be checked to ensure fast recovery in the machine, efficient operation and component reliability. Refrigerant Recycling It is essentials to change the machine filter to ensure recycled refrigerant meets the applicable A system evacuation can affect several parts within the machine. It checks the vacuum pump performance and operation, checks, and changes the oil to ensure the machine is able to rapidly achieve a deep vacuum to fully de-hydrate your customers vehicle and check the AC system to help prevent internal corrosion. Refrigerant Recharging A service will recalibrate your machine (to +/- 25 gms) using a certified calibration weight, so your customer’s Air Con systems are always charged correctly for optimum system performance. Refrigerant Leakage It is essentials to check for leaks at any stage of the machines' operation. Did you know refrigerant loss to atmosphere is prosecutable under the Environmental Protection Act (1990)? Don’t worry though, a service will sort this. Quality Management Servicing of garage equipment may be required to comply with the terms of some ISO Quality Management Systems e.g. PAS125. Provision and use of workshop equipment regulation (PUWER) 1998 PUWER 1998 confers a duty to ensure all equipment provided by your business is well maintained and safe to use.

Training Options OPERATOR TRAINING With any machine we sell we offer on-site operator training for your staff free of charge. This can be arranging at a time convenient to you. When requested we can issue an attendance certificate to show your staff know how to work and operate the specific air conditioning machine in a safe and environmentally friendly manner.

REFRIGERANT HANDLING CERTIFICATION

As a market leader we offer Refrigerant Handling Assessments. This can be carried out on-site at your premises. Upon successful completion the candidate will be awarded a City and Guilds qualification. Although it is not a legal requirement for those individuals working purely on HFO-1234yf vehicles, we do strongly recommend it is best practice to still hold a refrigerant handling qualification and as such, we would always advise carrying out our City and Guilds 7543-001 lifetime qualification. At Euro Car Parts we understand your staff may change from time to time and as such where required we can attend to do a refresher course on the machine and its best practices.

EACH ON SITE SESSION CAN TRAIN UP TO 6 TECHNICIANS. THE 2 HOUR SESSION COVERS: ■ Refrigerant recovery

The Covid pandemic increased awareness and sensitivity accelerating the introduction of sanitization or disinfection procedures at workshops. The Saniflux program acts specifically in the ventilation ducts and the evaporator of the vehicle air conditioning system. Saniflux XS601.00 is a device with two different modes of use: connected to the Ecotechnics air conditioning station and operating simultaneously with the air conditioning service (patent no. EP2349755) or in a completely autonomous mode. Saniflux uses ultrasound technology to nebulize liquids and is specially designed to precisely direct the flow towards the air suction grid inside the passenger compartment. REFRIGERANT CONFIGURATION PRACTICAL FOR THE DEALER, A SERVICE FOR THE WORKSHOP

"SAVING" BENEFIT: ACCURACY AND EFFICIENCY THE STANDARD FOR RECOVERY AND FILLING CONTROL

The constant availability of the product and fast delivery can be a competitive advantage for the workshop, a real reason for choosing a supplier. The recently developed and patented by the Ecotechnics research and development team, is the possibility to supply "neutral" climate stations and decide the type of gas even at the last moment, thanks to the availability of different refrigerant kits. The packaging of the station actually provides the space for the insertion of the R134a or HFO refrigerant activation kit.

In order to constantly monitor the performance of the climate stations, the company has developed internal product standards in order to monitor the parameters of Recovery Efficiency and Refrigerant Filling Accuracy. Periodic tests are always performed under the same conditions, thanks to technological development and improvement, they have been able to obtain Efficiency and Accuracy values that exceed the results required by universally accepted standards.

HYBRID THE INTEGRATED PATENTED SOLUTION OR AFTERMARKET OPTION

The "Observatory for electric mobility" of the European Commission confirms a growth trend of hybrid and electric cars over 30% per year that will reach in less than 20 years more than 50% of vehicles currently in circulation. These vehicles have the compressor driven by a high voltage electric motor. The specific oil must be insulating to ensure safety. The use of non-insulating oil is dangerous for the operator. To remove all traces of non- insulating oil, the cleaning of service hoses and internal circuits is mandatory before recharging. The correct flow of the refrigerant or the oil and the control of pressures during the various phases of the air conditioning service are managed by the "manifold" through the opening and closing of valves at the proper time. While the processes are coordinated by the software, the force to open and close the valves is generated by the coils through a magnetic field. The new standard provides their power supply at 12V, a tension that is independent of the voltage applied in the country of distribution. A worldwide solution that also allows intelligent control of the applied energy, lower power consumption, lower operating temperature, improved safety and longer life of the components. 12 VOLT TECHNOLOGY SAFETY AND ENERGY SAVING

The patented Ecotechnics system automatically carries out the washing of service hoses and internal ducts, thanks to the specific software and connectors integrated into the station. A closed-circuit washing cycle enables a high cleaning efficiency. In addition to the integrated system of the standard feature, an innovative aftermarket upgrade solution has been developed.

PRODUCTION AND QUALITY CERTIFIED. ISO TS 16949 SYSTEM QUALITY

The KONFORT range benefits from new developments in materials, technologies and automated production procedures that resulted in TEXA gaining a ISO TS 16949 certification. All phases are subject to strict quality control, from component selection and development to machining, assembly, distribution, and after-sales service. After assembly, the KONFORT recharge stations enter TEXA’s testing department where the electrical system is tested, and the load cells and pressure transducers are calibrated. Functional testing is then performed to verify that all components and devices respond correctly and perform according to specifications. Rigorous testing eliminates the risk of defects in the hydraulic system and ensures that all parts are effectively sealed.

The final stage of testing takes place in a special sealed chamber and involves the injection of helium into the tank and the recharge circuit. Helium is used because its particularly small molecules are able to find even minute leaks.
