Well worth the read. It starts out as a sweet insta-love and morphs into some major drama. Family drama for sure. At some points in the book I was almost screaming at my kindle. Who is lying? WHY?!?!

The characters were awesome.
-Blake is a super mom to Charlotte. Selfless and strong. Independent as well. When she loves she loves with every fiber. All she wants is someone to love her the way she deserves it.
-Dylan is sweet. He never thought he wanted a family but finally saw that vision with Blake. He made sure Blake and Charlotte were wanted.
-Charlotte is the sweetest child!

I will say there is a much deserved HEA. Lots of heartache and setbacks to get to it.

First time reading anything by this author and will definitely read others.

PERFECT book cover! LOVE LOVE! Just as I imagined the indoor picnic scene at Dylan's house.

Ouch. What do you do when the OW drama isn’t really another woman from your past, but your own family? Dylan and Blake had the deck stacked against them from the start, but they were ready to fight for what could possibly become forever. Or they were, until petty, vengeful lies and deceit got in the way. And that pettiness and awful, vile anger is from the one who should be happiest for Blake and Dylan, but that person is just far too cruel to allow for anything that takes attention away from them.

Luckily, it all works out, but WOW. I was so angry over the immature nastiness of one person, as well as the spinelessness of another. And the rollercoaster ride to figure out who said what, why, and how to move forward from such mean games and intentions made for one heck of a read. My ONLY wish is that the person who started it all suffered more. The humiliation on a special day wasn’t enough. But that could also be my vengeful, petty side talking. Either way, this was a stunningly good read about how love can and should conquer all, even if a few wrong turns are taken along the way. I’d definitely come back for more from this author.

What was supposed to be just a dinner to meet their relatives new fling ends up being so much more for Blake and Dylan. When sparks fly the two are against the odds when they are asked not to become involved, especially by Dylan's sister. But through lies, manipulation and a lot of inner turmoil the romance comes to a screeching halt. Can you find true love when everything seems against it? Will you pick your family or your heart? With breathtaking connections and characters that the reader will not be able to help but fall in love with this is a wonderful read. Brooklyn Taylor has taken her story telling to a new level and this book will instantly be a favorite to read and re-read again and again.

This book by Brooklyn Taylor ticks several of my favorite reader boxes: instant attraction, strong single mom, adorable little girl, a man blindsided by attraction, and meddling family. Ms. Taylor takes all of these lovely threads and weaves a beautiful story that goes from insta-love to fighting for a relationship against foes that should be an allies and supporting their budding relationship.
Dylan is a career-driven man whose past was shaped by losing his parents young and becoming a champion for his younger sister. He doesn't see himself as a one woman man because he feels if you love someone you will lose them, but when he meets Blake all bets are off.
Blake is a hard-working single mom, who's only real family is her cousin, Miles. When Miles thinks he's found "the one" he wants Blake to meet her and invites his cousin to meet his girlfriend and surprise, her brother. Their attraction is instantaneous and mutual, what could go wrong with that?
Owning and working in a bar, Blake is often looked down on because of her single mom status. She spends as much quality time with her little girl, Charlotte, as she can because despite the failed relationship she adores her daughter. Charlotte is a scene-stealer in this story, and she also steals Dylan's heart. However, Shannon Dylan's sister is a piece of work. She is definitely a character the reader would love to hate.
Ms. Taylor does an excellent job developing her characters and the emotional ties between them. Both of the main characters have big things in their pasts that they have to work through and overcome. Throw in the side characters and the family drama and the undermining of the relationships between Dylan and Blake and you have a deeply satisfying read with an HEA that the couple deeply deserves. I love this story and look forward to the next book by Ms. Taylor.

Man I just fell in love with another one of Brooklyn Taylor’s books!!! Dylan and Blake had my heart from the very beginning, I was definitely rooting for them for sure!! Both had drama in their past that was making it hard for them to move on..but through time and taking it slow..(which I love my slow burn reads) they just may make it work!!

Enjoyed!!

This is a sweet romance. I wish it had been in 1st person because I wanted more of the emotions but it was still enjoyable. It’s fade to black which doesn’t Both me. I wish the sister drama has more repercussions...I think forgiveness was given too easily and quickly. But overall it was so sweet and romantic and I liked it.

This book is packed with goodness, insta-love with sizzling chemistry, family drama, and the sweetest little girl who wiggles into your heart.

Dylan has been completely career driven over the years since starting his company. Keeping love and relationship out of his life except for his sister and his grandmother, since the tragic loss of his parents. Not willing to put himself out there because life is too short and there are no guarantees.

Blake is a strong single mother, who has a very tunneled focus. Run the bar and do the best she can financially for her and her little girl. Charlotte is the sweetest little girl and so well behaved. Getting ready to start pre-school she is a whip. Between her own hurt and watching her father love her sick mother, she hasn't been eager to find love and relationship.

When Dylan and Blake meet the sparks are jumping of the pages. Will they let their past hold them back from exploring what they feel? Will others step in the way of their happiness just to save their own? Will it be over before it truly gets started or will they step to the plate and fight for what they deserve?

Ms. Taylor brings a myriad of emotions along in the pages of this book. I enjoyed the characters and the family dynamics. I will watch for more to come from this author.

Here's the thing with this book.. I loved both Dylan and Blake together! Both had hardships growing up and both have made the most out of their lives. Now onto Dylan's little sister who I wasn't a big fan of.. I get that her and Dylan were super close but that's no reason to act like a giant baby who's mad that her love life is being overshadowed by big brother's new relationship.. I mean she really pulled the perfect little sister act but it blew up in her face and for that I was THRILLED beyond belief. She was put in her place so many times but it did no good until Miles did what he did..I really did see the urgency in rushing things but both couples seemed to be in a hurry to walk down the aisle. I get love at first sight and you'll all wrapped up into each other. Anyway, I'm stepping off the soapbox now. This book was cute and filled with so much love and entertaining times with Blake, Dylan and little Charlotte

Blake is a single mom and hard working. She is an open book and is honest about her past. Charlotte is her 6 year older daughter. Her cousin Miles is in love with Shannon and has a night to have Blake and Shannon’s brother over for dinner. Dylan is not happy about meeting Miles but would do anything to keep his sister happy. When Blake and Dylan meet the connection is instant and wanting to see where it goes is a must, b it Shannon doesn’t like Blake. Not sure why but she doesn’t. Blake and Dylan keep everything quiet and on the down low. They just don’t want anything to happen. The thing is when things start moving faster for them and they come out to the family they are met with unhappy about their happiness. Will they fight to sty together or throw thur hands up on the air and just slowly stop seeing each other? You need to read this book. It’s a quick and fun read.

*******A solid 3.5 stars*******
I did receive an ARC copy of this book in return for an honest review

Dylan and Shannon are as close as siblings can be after suffering from an insurmountable loss early in life. Miles and Blake as cousins who are as close as siblings and have always been there to support each other. What happens when 2 of 4 are a couple and forbid the other 2 from seeing each other?? Battle of the wills-do you really have your loved ones best interests at heart? Or are you just selfish enough to hurt the only support system you’ve ever had? Throw in a sweet little girl
And watch the fireworks between these 4. Sometimes you get what’s coming to you, and only then do you realize the error in your ways......

It was an alright story. I liked the beginning when the two characters met, but then I just wasn't feeling it, there is a supposed Insta connection, Insta love between the two that I didn't get, given the history of the heroine I thought she would be more leary, saying her daughter was already attached to a guy she met twice and both times had very little interactions with. Then you had this big obstacle the hero's sister who didn't want them to be together and acted like a child and then it kinda played out like a bunch of high school drama that was ridiculous considering these were grown ups.
I received an ARC and volunteered to leave a review.

Love shows up unexpectedly

Since the night of the tragic accident it has only been Dylan and Shannon and their grandmother. Shannon Surprised Dylan with an invitation for dinner to meet Miles her one & only. To say he was less then thrilled but he would do anything for his Sisters Happiness. He never expected to meet his team be & only at that same dinner, but Shannon will do anything to keep Dylan & Blake apart. This is a beautifully written story about Love, happiness and sacrifice.

This book was ridiculous. The 6 year old Charlotte acted more mature than anyone else in this book.

I kept waiting for a legitimate explanation for Shannon's behavior, which was too over the top for me. But, it was a quick one sentence apology.

There was nothing romantical about this book. In my opinion, although no one asked for it, if Shannon wasn't a part of this book, it would have been a solid 5 star read for me.

My 2 stars are for the five year old in the book.

Like a Fairytale came to life.

Dylan is a hopeless romantic that melted my heart!!! The things he would say and his actions were swoon worthy!!! Dylan is the perfect book boyfriend and will definitely stay in my heart and on my mind.

Blake is an amazing mom, daughter, cousin, business owner. She does what she needs to for her adorable daughter.

This is now my new favorite book. Would love to read more about these two characters.

I thought Romantical was a cute love story.

I loved the drama that played throughout, the entire time I kept waiting for the shoe to drop and then it did. There was a lot to love about the characters besides Shannon. Shannon was awful, there are many adults who are that childish.

My only problem was that both love stories felt a bit rush and that made it slightly unbelievable that both stories would go that way. I’d definitely read something else by Brooklyn Taylor though.

Brooklyn Taylor is a new to me author and I have to say this was a compelling read. Dylan and Blake have an instant attraction, but unfortunately not all their family members are thrilled with the idea. This story is well paced, steamy, has some twists, and some big family drama. Overall a good read.

Blake and Dylan's story is more than just opposites attract, they both have very different ideas on love and HEA but can't help the feelings that develope after a chance meeting. Throw in a bit of family drama and you have the makes of a emotional romantic story that makes root for the couple right from the start. A totally enjoyable romantic read.

I really enjoyed this book! Even though I thought the main characters were a little too immature with the lines of communication and letting outside sources influence their relationship, this was a nicely paced story. I wish Shannon was held more accountable for her actions and I absolutely loved what Miles did to her. Overall an enjoyable read!

I enjoyed reading this. The characters were great. Blake is a single mom of a 6 year old and is just fine being single. Her best friend want her to meet the love of his life. Dylan helped raise his sister after their parents died, with the help of his grandma. These 2 meet ans sparks are flying. This was a fast read and a fast attraction. Dont forget the family drama.

This was a good read. Dylan and Blake needed to communicate a lot better and not let people dictate to them. A lot could have been resolved sooner. Both Miles and Shannon needed to a quick kick in their backside, Shannon more than anyone. Actually, everyone needed a good smack in the head.
