Team Valmet Supports Walk/Run For Wishes in Atlanta, Georgia

Making Wishes Come True

Walk/Run for Wishes has already raised more than $400,000, putting the organization well on its way to granting the wishes of every eligible child with critical illnesses in the local community. For over 40 years, Make-A-Wish has been transforming lives by granting life-changing wishes for children facing critical health challenges.

In North America, we proudly support Make-A-Wish® with the theme “Equal Opportunities for Wellbeing.” Our team’s dedication to this cause reflects our commitment to making a positive impact on the communities where we operate. 

A Day of Fun and Support 

The Walk/Run For Wishes event was filled with activities for all ages. From face painting and music to zip lining and rock climbing, participants enjoyed a day of camaraderie and celebration. The Valmet team, donning bright shirts, showed up in force, demonstrating their unwavering support for this great cause.

Impacting Lives: Meet Cecil 

Proceeds raised through donor support, including Valmet’s contributions, make it possible for wish kids like 5-year-old Cecil to experience the long-lasting impact of a wish.  

Cecil’s journey began when doctors discovered a brain tumor when he was just 18 months old. After surgery and clinical trials, Cecil’s greatest wish was to meet Santa Claus at the North Pole. His family’s trip to Stratton, Vermont, during a blizzard allowed them to enjoy a winter wonderland and create cherished memories.
