  1. This man came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all through him might believe.

  18. So the father knew that it was at the same hour in which Jesus said to him, “Your son lives.” And he himself believed, and his whole household.
  19. Life and Judgment Are Through the Son

    “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.
  20. But you do not have His word abiding in you, because whom He sent, Him you do not believe.
  21. How can you believe, who receive honor from one another, and do not seek the honor that comes from the only God?
  22. For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me; for he wrote about Me.
  23. But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words?”
  24. Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.”
  25. Therefore they said to Him, “What sign will You perform then, that we may see it and believe You? What work will You do?
