Connect your third-party domain to Shopify manually
Shopify Support can't access your third-party domain's settings. If you have trouble setting up your domain, then you must work with your domain provider. Shopify Support can only advise you about what information you might need to give to your domain provider.

Before you begin
To complete the connection, you need to have the following information:
- Your login information for your third-party domain provider account
- Your domain provider's requirements
- The Shopify IPv4 address
23.227.38.65 - The Shopify IPv6 address
2620:0127:f00f:5:: - The
wwwCNAME recordshops.myshopify.com.
Some third-party domain hosts won't accept a condensed IPv6 address. If the condensed IPv6 address above is rejected by your third-party domain host, then you will need to use the expanded version. Shopify's expanded IPv6 address is 2620:0127:f00f:0005:0000:0000:0000:0000.
You can have only one A record and one www CNAME record associated with your domain. If your domain already has an A record or www CNAME record, then you need to change these records to point to Shopify. You can have multiple CNAME records associated with your domain, but each one must have a unique name, such as www or shop.
NameServer requirements for third-party domains
Use your domain provider's default nameservers unless you manage your DNS somewhere else. Custom or external nameservers can cause connection and email problems when they aren't set up correctly.
If another provider, such as Cloudflare, already hosts your DNS, then you don't need to move your domain back to your registrar's default nameservers to connect it to Shopify. Make sure that your nameservers respond and that they publish the records described in the following steps. A domain with missing or unreachable nameservers can't connect to Shopify, even when the records look correct in your provider's dashboard. For the Cloudflare settings that block a connection, refer to Connecting a Cloudflare domain to Shopify.
If you have a Shopify-managed domain, then it needs to use the default Shopify nameservers. Learn more about unexpected nameserver values.
Step 1: Change your DNS records in your third-party domain provider account

Click Connect existing domain.

In the dialog, enter your domain name, such as example.com, and then click Next. Don't include a subdomain, such as www..

Click Connect domain.

It might take up to 48 hours for your domain to be fully live. You can click a domain to review its connection details.

If the message "This domain is already connected to another Shopify store" displays, and you own the domain, then you need to verify your domain ownership to transfer it to a new store. For a Shopify-managed domain, refer to Transferring Shopify-managed domains to another store or domain provider. For a third-party domain, refer to Verify ownership to transfer a third-party domain between Shopify stores.
