Britt Furlanis has good reason to be proud of her professional achievements.
At 27, she was appointed a trading manager at the Australian Pacific Liquefied Natural Gas Project, a $24 billion commercial venture supplying domestic and international markets.
Britt says her success encouraged other women to pursue leadership roles, which has since become an important driver for her.
She adds women should strive to be pioneers and have tremendous capacity to prove that the seemingly unachievable is possible.
Britt’s advice to her younger self? “Trust yourself, love yourself, forgive yourself and be loving and kind.”

Catherine O'Kane, currently serving as the Principal of All Hallows’ School in Brisbane, is a distinguished leader with a strong commitment to empowering young women.
She has dedicated her career to fostering environments that prioritise personal well-being and encourage girls to thrive academically and socially.
A fervent advocate for the advancement of women, Catherine stands by the transformative power of education to challenge societal norms and promote gender equality.
She believes that key institutions – education, business, government – must create policies and environments that support women’s rights and opportunities.
To her younger self, Catherine would say, “Never underestimate the impact you can have, the difference that one person can make.”
