Covid-19 Watch: 2,245 new cases bring total to 4,826,220

PETALING JAYA: Malaysia recorded 2,245 new Covid-19 cases on Thursday (Sept 22), says the Health Ministry.

According to the ministry's CovidNow portal, 2,239 of the new Covid-19 infections in the country were local transmissions, while there were 6 imported cases.

This brings the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 4,826,220 cases since the pandemic began.

A total of 12 deaths were recorded on Thursday with 7 classified as being brought in dead, bringing the total to 36,342.
