| This challenge is complete! 40 Years, 40 Games was a speedrun challenge where I attempted to speedrun a game released in every year for the past 40 years. That's the only rule: speedrun a game that was released in every year for the past 40 years.
| Q&A | |||||
| ||||||
| Why this challenge? | |||||
| Simply put: I thought it'd be fun! There are also some games I've wanted to speedrun in the past that I never got to, so I thought this would also help address that issue.
| How did you pick the games?
| Some games were easy decisions as they were games I've wanted to run for a while, and then some games I had to do a bit of research on. Luckily there was a game released every year that I could see myself running, so this worked out.
| Why aren't you doing [insert game here] for the challenge?
| One of two reasons: 1) I already run the game (for example, Super Mario 64). 2) I don't want to.
| This game didn't release in this year...
| I am playing the version of the game that released in the year specified. Example: if a Japanese version of a game released in a year and I picked that game and that year, I'll use the Japanese version.
| Did you change any of the games?
| I changed one game due to time contraints. I plan to run it in the future, however (game in question is Twilight Princess).
| Did you go in order of years released?
| I did! | |||||
| Did you just make that logo on freelogodesign.org?
| Yes, I did. Shut up. |
