INDIANAPOLIS — Looking to make your house into a forever home? Indy Animal Care Services needs to find homes for more than 40 cats and kittens.

The cats and kittens were surrendered by their owner to Animal Care Officers. All have been checked out by medical staff and are now available for adoption.

“We’ve been fortunate over the past year to be able to plan ahead when taking in large amounts of animals,” said IACS Deputy Director Katie Trennepohl. “Unfortunately, with kitten season in full swing, this morning’s intake is pushing us close to capacity in our cat rooms.”

Right now, adoptions are free. If you would like to adopt a cat or kitten, visit the Indy Animal Care Services website and fill out an online adoption application.

Indy ACS is also looking for kitten fosters. All supplies and training are provided to help you care for the kittens until they are old enough to be adopted. If you’re interested in fostering, you can apply online.
