What a beautiful evening this was! Sam and Daniela were married at sunset at Brooklyn Bridge Park. They had their micro wedding at the Granite Prospect, the huge granite staircase on Pier 1, and it was an amazing celebration of their 10 years of love and their community.
I met up with them at the Max Family Garden for their first look and it was the sweetest. I love first looks, and Sam’s face when she saw Daniela for the first time was perfect. They also managed to get the last of the fall leaves for their portraits which were beautifully golden in the background. With the evening light I was a happy photographer!
I will always be up for a twirl! Daniela’s dress was so cute! And sparkly shoes for the win!
Daniela and Sam just radiated joy the whole evening and it was amazing to capture.
After portraits, we headed out to the Granite Prospect for their ceremony. This is one of the few places in Brooklyn Bridge Park where you can have a larger number of guests, and everyone could have a seat on the steps, so it worked out great! And you can’t argue with that view! Sam and Daniela also passed out blankets for everyone so they could keep warm or use it to sit on as it was a little chilly.
Isn’t this an amazing backdrop for a wedding?
Karla of Once Upon a Vow did an awesome job telling the story of their relationship, and Sam and Daniela were so happy! It was smiles all around.
They did it! Post wedding ceremony we spent some time taking a few more photos and went up the Squibb bridge into Brooklyn Heights for a few neighborhood shots as well.
If you’re looking for classic brownstones in addition to NYC skyline, Brooklyn Heights is a quick walk from the Brooklyn Bridge Park waterfront and makes for a great portrait backdrop.
Off to celebrate with many toasts! They took their crew to La Rina for some excellent food and drinks and had their first dance with a Spanish guitarist playing one of their favorite songs.
Congratulations Sam and Daniela! Thank you so much for inviting me to be a part of your day!
