Chinese Lunar New Year 15 Days of Celebration: World Culture Chinese Culture

2024 is the year of the Dragon and the first day of the Lunar New Year is February 10.

The 15-day celebration is from February 9 (New Year's Eve), February 10 to February 24, 2024.

  • February 10, 2024 - Dragon
  • January 29, 2025 - Snake
  • February 17, 2026 - Horse

Language Version:  English with key expressions in Simplified Chinese with pinyin support.

World Culture Global Education:

  • This is a presentation-style teaching unit. It is an introduction to the Chinese Lunar New Year with key phrases and expressions in Chinese.  
  • Authentic visuals/images support each of the cultural topics. Authentic images and materials.
  • Your students will explore 20 Chinese Lunar New Year cultural tradition topics.
  • 32 task cards will lead your students to work together or independently to discover Chinese culture with hands-on and engaging projects.
