Former Shamrock Rovers, Drumcondra FC, Shelbourne and Dundalk goalkeeper Eamonn D'Arcy has died aged 89.

D'Arcy won two League of Ireland titles with the Hoops in the late 50s. He also made four appearances for Shamrock Rovers in the European Cup against Manchester United (1957) and OG Nice (1959), leaving in 1962 to join Drumcondra FC, where he won another league title in 1965.

D'Arcy won two caps with Republic of Ireland 'B' and managed the Ireland women's team from 1984 to '86.
