창세기 9장 1절~24절 채식에서 육식을 허락한 하나님

창세기 9장은 노아의 방주에서 나온 뒤 노아가 하나님 앞에서 제를 올리고 하나님의 축복을 받은 후 땅을 번성케 할 테고 땅에서 나는 살아있는 모든 것을 먹으라 하고는 세를 내라고 하십니다. 일종의 계약 관계가 성립된 것입니다. 그리고 다시는 홍수를 내리지 않겠다며 증표로 무지개를 보여주십니다. 

 

 

채식에서 육식을 허락하신 하나님

 

 

 

 

창세기 9장 1절~3절

 

1. And God blessed Noah and his sons and said to them, " Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth.

2. The fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth and upon every bird of the heavens, upon everything that creeps on the ground and all the fish of the sea. Into your hand they are delivered.

 

창조주는 노아 가족들에게 축복을 내리며 이에 더해 살아있는 모든 것들은 너희의 음식이 되어 줄거라고 합니다. 

 

3. Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you.

 

병 주고 약 주고 인가요? 그런데 살아있는 모든 것들이 음식이 되어준다면 살생도 허락하신 걸까요?

 

 

 

창세기 1장인가에서는 하나님이 인간에게 땅에 떨어진 모든 식물이며 열매를 먹고 살라 하셨습니다. 이에 대해 창조주가 웰빙 푸드 강조 어쩌고저쩌고 소란을 떨던데 창세기 9장 3절의 육식 허가는 어찌 받아들였는지 궁금합니다. 왜 창조주는 갑자기 육식도 허락하게 되신 걸까요? 식물 청소에서 늘어나는 동물 청소까지 입으로 도맡아 하라는 의미 같기도 합니다. 

 

 

 고기는 웰던으로 먹어라 그리고 청구서

 

4. But you shall not eat flesh with its life, that is, its blood

5. And for your lifeblood I will require a reckoning: from every beast I will require it and from man. From his fellow man I will require a reckoning for the life of man.

 

 

살아있는 모든 것을 음식으로 먹게 하겠다더니 그것을 피 뚝뚝 채로 먹지 말라고 하십니다. 아니 더 구체적으로는 산 채로 피와 살을 먹지 말라고 하십니다. 그렇다면 익혀 먹으라고 하신 건지 모르겠습니다. 어쨌든 살생은 하지 말라는 의미로 들리는 가운데 하나님은 고기 먹은 대가를 청구하겠다고 하십니다. 딱히 고기라기보다는 일단 축복 내린 땅의 산물을 취하기 전에 그에 대한 대가를 지불하라며 계산서를 내미시네요. 성경은 참 옥죄면서 계산적인 경전이라는 생각이 듭니다.

 

 

 하나님도 붉은 피?

 

 

6. " Whoever sheds the blood of man, by man shall his blood be shed, for God made man in his own image.

 

shed: 흘리다, 내뿜게 하다.

 

하나님은 재차 강조하듯 말씀하십니다. 누구든지 사람에게 피를 흘리게 하면 피를 보게 할 것이다 왜냐하면 하나님의 형상대로 인간을 만들었기 때문이란 게 무슨 말인지 모르겠습니다. 피와 사람을 만든 게 무슨 상관이 있는 건가요? 아무래도 하나님이 자신의 형상대로 인간을 만들었기에 모든 인간은 소중하다는 의미로 해석해야 하겠죠?

 

 

7. And you, be fruitiful and multiply, teem on the earth and multiply in it."

 

teem: 충만하다, 비옥하다, 가득차다, 많이 있다.

 

 

 

 언약을 세우시고

 

8. Then God said to Noah and to his sons with him, 

9. " Behold, I establish my covenant with you and your offspring afer you,

10. and with every living creature that is with you, the birds, the livestock, and every beast of the earth with you, as many as came out of the ark; it is for every beast of the earth.

 

covenant: 증서, 서약, 맹약.

 

11. I establish my covenant with you,  that never again shall all flesh be cut off by the waters of the flood, and never again shall there be a flood to destroy the earth."

 

다시는 홍수로 흉한 일은 만들지 않겠다고 하십니다.

12. And God said, " This is the sign of the covenant that I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for all future generations:

13. I have set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between me and the earth.

14. When I bring clouds over the earth and the bow is seen in the clouds,

15. I will remember my covenant that is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh.

And the waters shall never again become a flood to destroy all flesh.

16. When the bow is in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God said to Noah, " This is the sign of the covenant that I have established between me and all flesh that is on the earth."

17. God said to Noah, " This is the sign of the covenant that I have established between me and all flesh that is on the earth."

 

 

everylasting: 영원히 계속되는, 불후의, 영원한

 

창조주는 다시는 홍수 같은 대란은 만들지 않겠다며 그 언약의 표시로 bow 무지개를 사인으로 보여주시겠다고 합니다. 그게 구름 속의 활이 바로 무지개란 거죠. 그리하여 무지개는 인류에게 희망과 위안의 상징이 되었습니다만, 왜 무지개가 동성애의 상징 표식이 되었는지 정말 알다가도 모르겠네요. 

 

 노아의 세 아들이 이끌게 되는 세상

 

 

 

18. The sons of Noah who went forth from the ark were Shem, Ham, and Japheth.(Ham was the father of Canaan.)

19. These three were the sons of Noah, and from these the people of the whole earth were dispersed.

 

dispersed: 흩어진, 분산된

 

 농부가 된 노아의 술주정

 

20. Noah began to be a man of the soil, and he planted a vineyard.

21. He drank of the wine and became drunk and lay uncovered in his tent.

22. And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father and told his two brothers outside.

23. Then Shem and Japheth took a garment, laid it on both their shoulders, and walked backwards and covvered the nakedness of their father. Their faces were turned backwards, and they did not see their father's nakedness.

24. When Noah awoke from his wine and knew what his toungest son had done to him, 

 

 

방주에서 내린 후 정착 후 노아는 포도 농장을 경작하면서 와인을 만들어 드셨던 모양입니다. 와인 만드는 법은 어떻게 배운 건지는 모르겠지만요. 아무튼 노아가 어느 날 술에 취해 옷을 다 벗고 잤더니만 노아의 아들 함 가나안 땅 영주였던 모양; 그가 아버지의 나신을 보고 다른 형제를 보고 알렸답니다. 그랬더니 샘과 야벳은 옷을 가지고 뒤로 걸어 아버지를 덮어주어서 아버지의 나신을 보지 못했습니다. 그리고 다음 날 노아는 막내아들 함의 한 짓을 알게 됩니다. 대체 누가 고자질을 한 것일까요?
