Egypt, represented by Egypt Post, is hosting the Arab Stamp Exhibition on January 5-7 at the historic post building in Attaba, under the aegis of the Arab Telecommunications and Information Council of Ministers (ATICM) of the League of Arab States (LAS).
The exhibition is open to Egyptian citizens and philatelists. More than 16 exhibitors representing postal operators in Arab countries are participating in the exhibition, in addition to more than 25 exhibiting philatelists and members of the Philatelic Society of Egypt.
The Arab Stamp Exhibition offers an ideal platform to showcase diverse cultures through a collection of unique and vintage postage stamps. This event plays a crucial role in fostering communication and strengthening ties among participating Arab countries, including the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Jordan, Libya, and Mauritania. The issuance followed the United Kingdom, which introduced the world's inaugural stamp in 1840.
