Savannah
I didn’t think I was missing anything. I had my son, a great career, and a home that I’d made for both of us. One puck over the glass at a hockey game made me realize I wanted more. The larger-than-life hockey player inserted himself into our world and I never wanted to let him go.

The thing is, I don’t know if I’m strong enough to keep him.

Porter
My home was on the ice, with a stick in my hand and a puck on my tape. It took one little boy with a toothless smile and his spitfire mother to change all that. I wanted them to be my home and I was willing to take all the penalties necessary to make it happen.

Now I just have to convince her that we can handle it all together.

Melding three lives into one isn’t as easy as it seems, especially with the traveling, the media, and the insecurities. Savannah and Porter have to decide whether to use the breakaway to head to the goal or take a seat on the bench.

After all, 425 Madison is the perfect place to fall in love!

This was my first book by Kay Gordon as well as my first book in the 425 Madison Series, and I have to say that I am pleased on both counts. This book was charming and sweet while sexy and hot. I really liked Savannah and Porter but my heart was stolen by Logan.

Savannah is a single mother doing the best she can raising her five year old son, Logan. She works full time as a nurse in Labor and Delivery, which means her hours are sometimes crazy but thankfully she has some great friends that love her and Logan and do everything they can for them. Logan is so full of life as you can imagine a typical five year old would be, he absolutely loves HOCKEY and his favorite player is Porter Hamilton.

I'd say that sparks were flying right from the start when Porter sees Savannah but it was much more than that. I've given enough away without any spoilers so I'm not going to start now. If you enjoy a good sports romance or even a romance that involves a single parent I would recommend you giving this book a read. It's sweet and sexy so while your heart maybe going pitter patter you will need a fan to cool yourself off a bit. And the epilogue, oh how I loved it so.. Happy Reading!!!

“Life is what happens while you’re busy making other plans” and the term “ Expect the unexpected “ should be the tag line for this book. I fell in love with this sweet story. This isn’t the great American Novel and I am so happy about that. This is a little story that will melt your heart. The author takes everyday situations and brings a realness to them with a bit of salt and sweet.
I don’t do spoilers it’s not fair to the author. I tell you my feelings on how the story affected me with just a little information probably already given in the blurb.

We’re so use to seeing sports players with high profile partners or the bunnies that follow and that happens all the time. This story takes a look at what happens when a high profile hockey player becomes interested in a single mom. It shows both sides of the issue. We are so use to seeing high profile players in celebrity status, we forget many came from humble beginnings. It also spotlights the difficulties of being thrown into the world the average person isn’t accustomed. Also, how does the high profile person deal with the normal world he’s become unaccustomed. Within this book we get to meet up with less than stellar characters that truly add a reality to the story.

Porter, is affable, handsome, and a determined hockey player. His tenacity to meet the woman he saw in the hockey stands is sweet and sexy. He loves with his whole self.
Savannah, is the single mom who’s naturally beautiful without all the makeup and accoutrements. The love she bestows on Logan, her little son only adds to her beauty. She will and forever be a mom who puts his needs above everything else, even her own! She is one fierce momma bear. Savannah gives her all without expectation but she does have certain limitations.
Logan, you will fall in love with!

I loved this story, especially the epilogue. This book is the fourth one in the 425 Madison series. I’ve read three and have really loved every one. Each one is by a different author. We need more books like this. This story nurtured my soul. I read it in one sitting for two reasons. It was an easy read and I didn’t want to put it down. So take a chance and read this sweet and soulful book. You won’t regret it. You deserve to have “ all the feels.”

Two For Holding is the fourth stand-alone novel in the 425 Madison series. It follows the story of Porter, a famous hockey player and Savannah, a single mom who is a nurse. What I really liked about this book is how Porter tried to pursuit Savannah because it didn't make him seem creepy or stalker-ish and how much Savannah loved her son. She is the kind of mother that would do anything for him and I loved her for that. Savannah's son is a big hockey fan and after a series of incidents, the adults decide to date. They have their ups and downs and I do think that it was done realistically. We had two people who were trying to work things out and some factors that were trying to force them apart. The scene that brought them together again was emotional. The book gave me happy vibes and I liked it overall. I liked the author's writing and if I see one of her books again, I will certainly read it. I found this story to be well developed and I liked the dynamics between all the characters.

Oh my gosh what an awesome story.
Savannah a single mother of five year old Logan is not looking for romance but it finds her in a very gorgeous hockey player named Porter. Logan wants to be a hockey player when he grows up and Porter is hos favorite player. At a hockey game Porter spots Logan in the stands he taken buy the little guys enthusiast behavior so he gives him a puck but some jerk steals it right out of his little hand. 😥, Porter saw this then noticed Savannah giving the guy crap, Spitfire is what he secretly calls her. This starts a chain of events. Porter is mesmerized by her and her son. After a week of trying to find her they literally bump into each other or a door bumps him. Then end up dating. The thing I liked about this story is the honesty and openness of the couple it seemed to he going great except for the press always getting involved. Then the one thing that broke them up was in fact the press sneaking onto the school property and approaching Logan causing him to flee from fear and he falls. Tjat was the last straw for Savannah. There are great secondary characters, like Savannah's bestfriend Holly, Porters bestfriend Theo, even Porters ex wife Daisy, along with his parents, did not like Brandon Logans dad he was a disappointment. After Savannah breaks up with Porter the time skips four weeks ahead to Logams POV, he is with his dad and his dad leaned him alone in a bar while his dad gambles in the next room, wondering off because he thinks he can find Porter and get him and his mom back together he kinda gets lost, I mean he's in New York and he's five. Turns out that little scare is what brings the couple back together. Skip ahead thirteen years later and the family has grown big time. The sex scenes are hot and steamy and detailed. The emotions are high and intense. The HEA is a kids dream come true.

WOW that was... absolutely one of the most beautiful stories I’ve read in a long time!! Absolutely PERFECT!!

Savanna is a young, beautiful, single mom with a great career. When one of her patients gives her tickets to a Titans home game she wraps them up for her son Logan as a Christmas gift. Little did she know, the night of the home game would changed there lives forever.

Porter is at the top of his career being the captain on the Titans. While on the ice before a home game a young boy catches his eye in the stands because he is so excited to be there but when Porter sees the kids mom he will do what it takes to talk to her.

I must say, I adore Logan. He is such a great kid with a big heart. This story had me glued from the first page and it was hard not to fall for these characters. I’m looking forward to more of the 425 Madison series!! 🖤🖤

I think I have said this throughout this series but this is the best freaking series ever!!! I have never seen this author or read from her but my emotions are all over the place!! What a great story she told and had me on edge the whole time but in love with them!!

I loved Logan hardcore!! Like he was the freaking star of it for me and made my heart soar and drop in an instant for a chapter! The emotions he brought up then and later had my crying like a baby! The relationship he has with his mom was the best ever and the pair quickly won my heart. Porter wasn’t fair behind but I knew the build up would crash and I would be a blubbering mess!! Even though you could see how things would end and it was a little predictable (just a small portion!!) I couldn’t help but be gripped by my heart with love for the entire gang!

I don’t think I’ve seen an ending quite like that and it left me crying again! I’m loving this series each book at a time and each new author I discover just adds to the amazing love I have for this series! The writing style of this author, the ability to tell this incredible story from all angles and still have some shock aspects to throw me off amazed me! Way to go and I’m beyond ready for the next!

OH my goodness, I loved this book! Such wonderful characters and so well written!

Savannah is a single mum to gorgeous little Logan, she works hard to support her and her son, and after having nothing growing up she appreciates all she has!

Porter is a successful ice hockey player, whose breath is taken away when he sees Savannah and Logan in the crowd at one of his matches! He is taken by her even more when she sees her protective streak come out when something happens with Logan! He wants to get to know her, but she gets away, that is until they walk into each again, and he asks her on an actual date!

Things are going great until Savannah walks away when her son gets hurt! A month later she phones him in tears, she needs his help and Porter doesn’t think twice about it! Is she able to walk away again? Will Porter let her go? And what does Logan want?

I really couldn’t put this book down!

Savannah was thrilled that a patient had given her tickets to the Titans hockey game. They were her son's favorite team and Porter Harrison was his absolute favorite player. When Porter spots her son in the crowd and throws him a puck, she is overjoyed. When they run into each other a few days later, it feels like fate. Can a single mom trust in love and get used to being in the spotlight with a hockey star?

The 425 Madison series is awesome and Two for Holding was simply amazing! I loved how Savannah and Porter meet. Porter is a really good guy and he is head over heels for Savannah right from the get go. Savannah didn't think he could be interested in dating a single mom but he quickly shows her how much he wants her in his life. I had not read any books by Kay Gordon before and I have to say, I will be following her from now on. These characters are so real from the first page that I couldn't help but love them and want them to be together. Even Savannah's son is so genuine and Porter shows how much he cares for the boy in his own right. I consumed this book in one sitting and was quite sad to say goodbye to them. 5 stars for Savannah and Porter!

This is the fourth book in this awesome series, and is my favourite so far! Savannah is a single mom, and when she gets tickets for a hockey game, her little boy is overjoyed and the captain Porter is his idol. This is a beautifully written story which had me totally captivated throughout this addictive page turner, and I look forward to reading more from this talented author, whose work I highly recommend for all readers.

Two For Holding is the fourth book in the 425 Madison series, and it’s another great read. We’re only four books in, and I already have some new authors I wish to find out more about. The same is true with Kay Gordon: after reading Two For Holding, I’m curious about the author’s other work.

I will be honest and say I was a wee bit tentative when I started Two For Holding. I’m not the biggest fan of instalove, and this felt a bit too close to instalove for my liking. However, the story was adorable and sucked me in through other aspects. In fact, I was so sucked in I did not mind the near instalove nature of the story. Instead of focusing upon that one aspect, I found myself enjoying all the other elements that had me hooked.

Two For Holding is a sweet sports romance, and I love such stories. The characters and events are adorable, and I was wearing a stupid smile for most of the book. From the first until the last page, I was hooked, turning the pages rapidly to see how everything came together. In fact, when it ended I found myself hoping for a spin-off book for certain characters, as I need more of those I came to love in this one.

Without a doubt, Two For Holding is a great addition to the 425 Madison series.

Two for the Holding was a truly enjoyable read for me. I was smiling and page turning throughout most of the book. Kay Gordon is a new to me author and I loved her writing style.

The first meeting between Porter and Savannah wasn’t a meeting at all, more like a sighting. Porter sighting young Logan on the side of the ice ring and then Porter sighting his mom, Savannah. Something drew him to her.

Savannah had made her way as a single mom and hardworking nurse. When she meets Porter, she is reluctant to get involved but love has a funny way of working its way into one’s heart and mind.

Well written with outstanding characters and a great story line, Ms. Gordon has given us a book that will leave you with a happy smile on your face and soul. 5 Star #2OCCMS

Ugh I am an emotional wreck. This book is so sweet. Porter and Savannah are wonderful together. Add a cute little boy, Logan, to the mix and I am a gooey mess.

Single mom, Savannah meets Hockey Player, Porter at a game she takes her little boy too. This book starts out adorable and just keeps my emotions high throughout. Logan makes me smile with his love of all things hockey.

Umm plan for some conflict that might make you tear up. Eek! Oh you will get some swoon worthy sexiness between Savannah and Porter. These characters make my heart happy and this book was a wonderful afternoon read. It had all the elements I love.

Beautiful 5 star story... HAPPY READING!

The chemistry between these two from the start is amazing, throw in a 5 year old who LOVES everything hockey it’s just the icing on the cake!
I love how straight forward they both are with what they say, and how Porter doesn’t ignore that Savannah has a son, in fact he makes the effort to know not only her but her son too!

This book is one of those hidden gems in my opinion. I was expecting a book where they see each other and hit it off right away. With a great deal of hot steamy sexy times. That the hero was into having control. Well, he is but not the way I thought. What I got was something more. They have great chemistry and attraction. I also got heavy drama, I would recommend this to anyone!!

It was love at first read for me!! I absolutely fell in love with Porter from the get go. The way he saw Logan, and described how cute he was. I swear my ovaries exploded. I automatically got a sense of Porter's character, his genuineness, and sincerity. This was the first book of Kay Gordon's that I've read, and I loved her characters, and her writing style. Kay makes the characters come to life, she makes them real.

Logan is the captain of Titans, an NHL team, he is a kind, sweet, and down to earth guy, even with all the fame being a professional hockey player brings.

Savannah is a single mom to Logan her 5 year old son, a labor and delivery nurse, and an all around tough cookie, who will do anything to protect her son.

When Logan and Savanna first meet at a Titans game, the chemistry is crazy, and they both felt that spark upon meeting. They are still thinking about eachother andtheir first meeting, when they accidentally bump into eachother when Savannah goes to sign logan up for the Titans junior learn to play league. Porter takes advantage of this to het himself assigned to coach Logan's league. The chemistry and sweetness continues from there, untill they get the HEA they all deserve, along with some drama and bumps in the road of course.

I absolutely loved Two For Holding, and will be reading more of Kay Gordon's books. I was a bit disappointed that this book did not have a playlist like the others in the 425 Madison series. I recieved an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

When her young son's love of hockey brings them into his life, Porter can't help but want to keep them there. The moment his eyes landed on them, on the other side of the glass, he was instantly drawn to them. The excitement beaming on the young boys face, and Savannah's demure presence drew him in like a moth to a flame. It was the strangest thing, never had a woman had this effect on him, one chance meeting and now she is all that he can think about, and the more he craves to see her again. He knows he should to listen to his manager 's advice, and run for the hills when it comes to the single mom, but for the first time in his life he is going to do the complete opposite... and follow his heart!

He knows convincing her to take a chance on them is going to be a challenge, since she seemed wary of his intentions right off the bat. And he knows the world he lives in will make it hard to maintain a relationship, but it's the only thing he wants... and he doesn't like to lose!

Two For Holding is a heartwarming tale that will put a squeeze on your heart and leave a smile on your face. Between the perfectly crafted story line, emotionally charged words, and charming characters you just can't go wrong with this one. I loved this newest addition the series, barely a chapter into it I knew it was going to lead me to a happy heart, and boy was I right! I highly recommend you get your hands on this one, it's words are captivating and it's characters are certain to steal your heart!

I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.

This was an amazing addition to this series of books. Savannah a single mom of the cutest little boy who is so adorable and loves hockey is trying to do what is best for her son and provide him with a great childhood. She takes him to a hockey game where she meets Porter hot sexy sweet hockey player. There is definitely something between these two so he tries his hardest to figure out who she is. They end up running into each other a couple of times and she finally agrees to give him a shot. But will him being a hockey player and the cameras and reporters never leaving her alone tear them apart? I loved these three together. Porter and Savannah have some amazing chemistry. But Porter and her son make you want to melt. This was an amazing book right from the get go to the end. Some very touching moments in this one. Kay has gained a fan as this is the first book I have read from her. Highly recommend this sweet lovable story.

When you know you know right? Well for Porter he knew immediately. He knew immediately, he wanted to talk to the mom that was fierce over her young son. He knew that he wanted to get to know this bright eyes little boy. He even became a little stalkerish over trying to find them after a hockey game. But it all worked out and Savannah was suddenly dating a professional hockey player. The love between Logan and Porter made my heart melt. For a man to love a child that isn't his, doesn't allow the child to feel like they are not part of the package, and to go feet first in a relationship, it's special. This story was all around a good warm hearted make you feel good story. Your heart will leap and crack a little but in the end Porter will heal it.

Un-Put-down-able!!!!

Dear Lord please tell me there is a Porter Hamilton out there waiting for me!

I love me some Hockey Hotties...but Porter might just be at the top of my list now. He's certainly a man who knows what he wants. And Savannah might just be the luckiest single mom on the planet to have made it to the top of Porter's list of wants.

This one had me tearing up in the first chapter. The heart and genuine story-line grabbed me from the first page. It's everything contemporary romance should be.

Kay Gordon is a new to me author..and I'm now going to BEG HER to write more of this world. I gotta know more about Axe and the NY Titans!

I LOVED THIS BOOK - it was sexy, but not dirty. Porter is a divorced, lonely hockey player who sees Savannah and her son, from afar. He must meet this woman, her eyes were beautiful.

He does bump into her again, she is signing her son up for hockey lessons, and who shows up for some press work, but Porter Hamilton, captain and star of The Titans hockey team. He sees what she is doing, and immediately signs up to volunteer for the hockey school, provided he is on Logan's team. He is, and an instant friendship starts up between the little boy and then his mom.

I loved how the story is built around the family unit - Savannah, a single mom, with Brandon as a "when it suits him" kind of ex-husband and father to Logan; she isn't used to all the attention, consideration, kindness and love from Porter. He is so attentive to her and Logan - he wants it all - the family, loving Savannah and her son, taking care of them, forever.

Circumstances beyond their control threaten to tear them apart, for good.

I especially liked the Epilogue - as we see into the future. Hockey plays a big part for them all.

Two for Holding scores a winning goal in my book. Gordon sneaks her way into hearts with the single mom and the hockey star. With one look, both know their lives have changed forever, but with the odds stacked against their burgeoning romance, how do they make it to the playoffs of love? 5 + stars.

Omg I love a good hockey romance and this did not disappoint!
Porter and Savannah were perfect for each other the moment they met! The chemistry between these two burst from the pages. Porter was also amazing with Logan and always making sure he was included.

I appreciate the lack of female drama that sometimes comes with sports romances. No cheating accusations or any of that stuff. Instead we get a different view of what it is like being a hockey gf.

Each book in this series is amazing so far and I am excited to continue reading!

I found this to be an incredibly fast, fun read. It was the perfect fun, light book with a HEA just when I needed. Porter was just the perfect level of sweet, kind, motivated, and hot. In other words, the ideal unicorn. And he single-mindedly pursued Savannah, while including her son Logan. There wasn't any over-the-top drama and all of the intimacy seemed in sync with their characters. I wish I could have seen more backstory on Savannah from when she first found out she was pregnant with Logan, but not having that wasn't detrimental to the story.

I'll give it four stars because I can easily assign the term page-turner (read it just a few hours), the characters were engaging, and the story flow was spot on. It's a good summer or lazy weekend read. You'll have a smile on your face when you get to the last page - a pretty great way to end a book.

A great hockey sports romance. Porter is the perfect book boyfriend with his many swoon-worthy moments and Sav with her fierce single momma independent ways. Add in Logan with all his cuteness, makes this a story you can't put down. A book I read in one sitting, and couldn't get enough of and enjoyed every bit of it.

3 Porter and Savannah Stars

This was an enjoyable and sweet instalove read. If you are looking for slow burn you won't find it here.

Porter Hamilton is a successful , rich and handsome hockey player who is a big shot in the NHL. Porter is a lovely Hero and he falls hard and fast for Savannah. She is a bit more reticent I think but then she has a little boy and has to be thoughtful as to who is around him. She definitely is feeling insta lust but I definitely think Porter was the pursuer and he fell first.

Savannah irritated me a bit when she pulled away but it was necessary for the conflict in the book. The resolution to that was well written. The story had a kind of Cinderella vibe to it but it was easy to read and the Hero was very loveable. Just to say though, Porter does something with Savannah's phone on the first morning they are together and I thought it was a bit weird but that aside, I liked him.

HEA? Yes - really lovely epilogue looking forward 13 years.
Cheating? No. These two are all about each other.

Savannah and Porter meet when he notices Logan Savannah's son while warming up before his hockey game. Porter is instantly intrigued by Savannah and goes about trying to find her. They meet up again and sparks definitely fly and soon they are in a fledgling relationship with plenty of issues trying to tear them apart. So what happens when the media goes too far and Savannah just can't take it anymore is their a chance for live to win? These two gi through alot to get their hea, but it is definitely worth it! Such a good book!
