Aviation’s energy transition: Experts weigh in

Current use of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) represents 0.1% of global jet fuel demand. A panel of industry experts at the Sustainable Aerospace Together Forum share a vision on how to scale up by 2025.

Why it matters: SAF holds the greatest potential to reduce aviation’s emissions over the next 30 years and is critical to commercial aviation’s commitment to achieve net zero by 2050.

Boeing organized the event to bring multiple stakeholders together under one roof to collectively discuss sustainability solutions.

  • “We’re committed to creating common ground among aviation, energy, finance and policy,” said Boeing Chief Sustainability Officer Chris Raymond. “Our goal is to enable these sectors to align and collaborate as we work together to achieve a more sustainable aerospace future.”
