Help get veterinary skills to those working on the conservation frontline and play your part in halting biodiversity loss. Disease can quickly derail efforts to conserve endangered species and having these tools can make the difference between success & failure. Be a piece of the puzzle.

    Situation

Conservationists striving to save endangered species frequently work in regions of high biodiversity but low incomes, where access to training in wildlife health is limited and there are few local wildlife vets. Highly endangered species often survive in small, fragmented groups which are very susceptible to disease outbreaks. The lack of access to veterinary expertise can make the difference between survival and extinction of a species, which in turn impacts biodiversity and climate change.

    Solution

Working in partnership with local conservation organisations, we provide expertise and training to vets and biologists working on the conservation frontline. We transfer the skills needed to control disease, treat sick animals and safely reintroduce species to the wild. Post COVID, we want to establish new partnerships, mentor more wildlife vets and consolidate our position within species conservation, reflecting the One Health approach to protecting biodiversity and tackling emerging disease.
