香港舞蹈團於 1981 年成立，致力推廣具當代藝術創意及香 港特色的中國舞蹈。歷年排演超過二百齣深受歡迎和評論界 讚賞的作品，享譽舞作包括：《花木蘭》、《塵埃落定》、《蘭亭． 祭姪》、《梁祝．傳說》、《風雲》、《倩女．幽魂》、《踏歌行》、 《紅樓．夢三闋》、《中華英雄》、《觀自在》、《白蛇》、 《三城誌》、《紫玉成煙》、《劉三姐》、《絲路如詩》、 《弦舞》、《一水南天》、《媽祖》、《青衣》、《九歌》、 《一個人的哪吒》、《儷人行》。舞團銳意跨界創作，深研 中國舞蹈與中國武術之糅合，原創新猷包括：展現「中國舞 蹈與中國武術之交互研究與成果呈現計劃」三年探索成果的 舞 ╳ 武劇場《凝》，以及大型舞蹈詩《山水》。

舞團擁有廣泛國際脈絡，曾涉足美國、歐洲、韓國、內地等 十多個國家及地區演出，促進文化交流。近年曾赴美國華盛 頓甘迺迪藝術中心、美國紐約林肯表演藝術中心、英國倫敦 南岸中心、加拿大多倫多索尼演藝中心、澳洲悉尼卓士活 中央廣場劇院、白俄羅斯明斯克國立模範音樂劇院、首爾 Arko 藝術劇場、北京國家大劇院、北京天橋藝術中心、上 海大劇院、上海國際舞蹈中心、杭州大劇院、廣州大劇院、 台北新舞台、臺灣戲曲中心等，演出舞團的得獎原創舞劇包 括《花木蘭》、《倩女．幽魂》、《梁祝．傳說》、《蘭亭． 祭姪》等饒具香港特色的作品，為海內外的觀眾帶來文化藝 術新體驗。

香港舞蹈團為政府資助的主要表演藝術團體，2001 年起為 慈善及非牟利機構。

Established in 1981, Hong Kong Dance Company (HKDC) is committed to promoting Chinese dance with contemporary artistic visions and Hong Kong character. Since its inception, HKDC has staged over two hundred productions, many of which were highly popular and critically acclaimed. Recent productions include The Legend of Mulan, Red Poppies, Spring Ritual·Eulogy, The Butterfly Lovers, Storm Clouds, L’Amour Immortel, Dream of the Past: Ancient Chinese Court Dances, Reveries of the Red Chamber, Chinese Hero: A Lone Exile, Vipassana, Lady White of West Lake, Tale of Three Cities, Waiting Heart, Liu Sanjie, Ode to the Silk Road, Dance of Strings, A Tale of the Southern Sky, Mazu the Sea Goddess, The Moon Opera, Shan Shui: An Ode to Nature, Nine Songs, Nezha: Untold Solitude, Myth of the Dancing Durumi, and Convergence, a culminating work created through a three-year interdisciplinary research study on Chinese dance and Chinese martial arts traditions.

As a cultural ambassador of Hong Kong, HKDC constantly brings the city’ s unique artistic style to the world by touring to different cities across the globe, engaging local audiences and encouraging cultural exchange. In recent years, we have brought our award-winning productions to Lincoln Center in New York, Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., Sony Centre in Toronto, Concourse Theatre in Chatswood, Sydney,

Southbank Centre in London, the Belarusian State Academic Musical Theatre in Minsk, Arko Arts Theatre in Seoul, National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing, Tianqiao Acrobatics Theatre in Beijing, Shanghai Grand Theatre, Shanghai International Dance Cente, Hangzhou Grand Theatre, Guangzhou Opera House, Taipei New Stage and Taiwan Traditional Theatre Center, among others.

Hong Kong Dance Company was incorporated in 2001 as a charitable and non-profit-making institution, and is financially supported by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region as one of the major performing arts companies in Hong Kong .

舞團亦已整裝待發，以「重生．達境」為新舞季主題，

精心籌劃多元的舞蹈演出；同時亦啟動對外的交流，

展開亞洲和澳洲巡演之旅，砥礪前行，

全力協助推動香港成為中外文化交流中心。

Our community is gradually returning to a state of normalcy after the pandemic, and the cultural and artistic activities that were so vastly affected are making a vibrant comeback. Hong Kong Dance Company (HKDC) is also gearing up for a new dance season with a diverse range of dance performances under the theme“Rebirth and Transcendence” . At the same time, we are launching international exchanges, with a tour in Asia and Australia, to develop Hong Kong into an East-meets-West centre for international cultural exchange.

2023/24 舞季 「重生．達境」

揭幕演出是藝術總監楊雲濤的新創大型舞蹈詩《廿四節 氣》，獲列入聯合國教科文組織《人類非物質文化遺產代表 作名錄》的廿四節氣，突顯了中華民族歷久的生活文化與大 自然緊密相依，古人常以詩吟詠節氣，舞團則試以舞作喻之。

• 榮獲「香港舞蹈年獎 2022」傑出網上製作——《凝》，將 首次踏上香港舞台，歷時三年的鑽研探索，《凝》結合了中 國舞蹈與武術精粹，作品已於去年率先於泰國演出，今年將 繼續其巡演之旅，前往北京、泰國、日本及澳洲等地。

• 由國際著名編舞家黎海寧編創的《女書》，以迄今發現唯 一描繪女性專用的文字「女書」為主軸，融入香港當代女作 家黃碧雲及西西的小說作品，帶領觀眾窺探古今女性的生 命脈絡。

• 民間舞集包含濃郁的民族情感色彩，向來廣受愛好舞蹈 的觀眾歡迎。踏入 2024 年，我們將聯同大灣區的舞蹈家， 攜手編創嶺南民間舞作《舞縈嶺南》，讓觀眾感受情景兼 融的地域文化和嶺南獨有的鄉風民情。

• 暑期合家歡劇場當然是不可少的，以唐詩宋詞串連成多 環節的合家歡舞蹈劇《鬍鬚爺爺之詩遊記 2.0》再次登場， 香港舞蹈團兒童團及少年團學員聯同舞團專業舞者將合力 引領大家暢遊詩詞歌舞的世界。

培養新一代的舞蹈愛好者是市場拓展重要的一環，導賞舞 蹈演出《舞解三國》將以工作坊和節目演出引領觀眾學習 賞析中國舞蹈。而外展及教育部亦繼續努力，於社區及校 園深耕細作，除了恆常的舞蹈課程外，亦與不同團體合辧 工作坊，協力推廣中華文化。

過去的困境給我們帶來的磨練，已轉化成我們力求創新的 動力。期待大家能踴躍購票入場欣賞，給予我們正面的支 持和鼓勵。多謝各位。

The opening performance is a spectacular new dance poem choreographed by Artistic Director Yang Yuntao, titled A Dance of Celestial Rhythms. The Twenty-Four Solar Terms, which were added to the UNESCO’ s “Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity”in 2016, highlight the close relationship between the enduring living traditions of the Chinese people and nature. The intellectual custom of reciting poems in celebration of the solar terms of the ancient Chinese is given a new twist with the Company’ s analogies through dance.

Convergence, winner of the 2022 Hong Kong Dance Award for Outstanding Online Production, will make its debut on the Hong Kong stage. It is the result of three years of meticulous exploratory research and combines the essence of Chinese dance and martial arts. Following its world premiere in Thailand last year, the production will start another season again from Beijing in China, going on tour to Thailand, Japan, and Australia.

HerStory, created by internationally renowned choreographer Helen Lai, centres around Nüshu, the only known script used exclusively among women. Incorporating the literary works of contemporary Hong Kong women authors Wong Bik-wan and Xi Xi, HerStory will give the audience a glimpse into the inner lives of women past and present.

Folk dance collages invariably embrace rich ethnic sentiments of their place of origin. That is why they have always been popular among dance aficionados. As we enter 2024, we will present a show titled Lands in the South in collaboration with dancers from the Greater Bay Area, allowing the audience to experience a regional culture that fuses emotions with scenes, as well as the unique vernacular features and humanism of Lingnan, or“South of the Ranges” , an age-old reference to Southern China.

The grand dance drama The Legend of Lanling is based on the life story of the Prince of Lanling, a famous general of the

Northern and Southern Dynasties (420–589). We will once again collaborate with the International Guoshu Association to enhance the dancers’martial art skills. Through the physical art forms of dance and martial arts, this performance will give a vivid portrayal of a legendary general on the battlefield.

Family theatre shows are certainly a much anticipated form of entertainment for the summertime. Returning to the stage this season is Fun Ride with Big Beard – Dancing Poems 2.0, a family dance drama featuring a medley of poems and song lyrics from the Tang and Song dynasties. Members of the HKDC Children’ s and Youth Troupes will join forces with our professional dancers to lead the audience through a world of poetry, song, and dance.

Cultivating a new generation of dance enthusiasts is an important initiative to expand our audience base. The art education theatre piece All About The Three Kingdoms will guide audiences to appreciate Chinese dance through workshops and performances. HKDC’ s Outreach and Education Department will continue its work in communities and schools. In addition to our regular dance courses, we will also hold workshops in collaboration with various groups to promote Chinese culture.

The past days have given one time for contemplation on the body... on life...

The body is the vessel of life, and through the body’ s perceptions, we come to understand ourselves, search for our true selves, and shape our identities. This should be the meaning of the body in motion.

The body experiences the existence of life in time and space. Existence is a continuing process of self-discovery and transformation, a process of training and understanding the body.

The existence of the body is the existence of life. The state of living is the state of the body.

Let dance return to the body and bring life to different realms of awareness.

Let the state of living arise from and transcend the body.

《廿四節氣》，中華民族傳統哲思裡井然嚴 密的時間秩序，古人順天春耕夏耘，隨季秋

收冬藏，應節生息理極。二十四節氣的流 轉，活潤萬物色彩，自然按季生香。一闕匯 聚古有智慧和情韵的大型舞蹈詩，在舞台視 聽光影之上，從感官出發，沉浸於時間和生 命的輪轉循環，最後回歸意識，通感品「嘗」 逸興悠長的一部舞蹈圖鑑。

The“Twenty-Four Solar Terms”is a strict temporal order rooted in traditional Chinese philosophical thought. Following the passage of the seasons, the ancients ploughed in spring, cultivated in summer, harvested in autumn, and stored up food in winter. With the transitions of the solar terms, nature comes alive in glorious colours and fragrances. This spectacular performance captivates the senses with stunning visual, acoustic, and lighting effects. Our journey begins by immersing us in the senses, moving through the cycles of time and life, and ultimately returning to consciousness. Come and experience this inspirational dance journey with us!

《凝》是香港舞蹈團籌劃長達三年，跨 越中國舞蹈和武術的藝術研究在舞台上 呈現的成果。2020 年與自由空間合辦演 出，後因疫情而移師線上播放，2022 年 榮獲香港舞蹈年獎傑出網上製作，是次 《凝》演出為香港首次現場演出。

舞者通過學習和探索武術，打破固有的肢體 運動模式，以當代思維結構、重組、形構舞 與武的元素，共同編創出傳統中見新意的舞 作《凝》。

Convergence is the culmination of an interdisciplinary research study on Chinese dance and Chinese martial arts traditions. This is the first live performance of Convergence in Hong Kong. Its inaugural performance, co-presented with Freespace, was broadcast online in 2020, due to the pandemic. Convergence was awarded the Hong Kong Dance Award for Outstanding Online Production in 2022.

In the Company’ s three-year-long study, our artists explored the essence of these traditional practices, discovering new perspectives on movement and the fluidity of expression between ideology and physical gesture. In this synergy of dance and martial arts, the dancers bring these discoveries together, capturing the transience between stillness and motion, tranquillity and exuberance.

墨絡裡讀到一個又一個 不同的女子 / 女史 / 女字

Unravelling esoteric writings by, of, and about women

沿襲女書歷史，演繹女性私書，傾述情感 種種。

有四百年歷史的女書是記錄湖南省江永縣一 帶方言的文字，僅於當地婦女間流傳，故泛 稱女書，是寥然遺世、唯一的女性文字。

《女書》是黎海寧探討女性題材的「女性三 部曲」的壓卷之作，此作更於 2008 年奪得 兩項香港舞蹈年獎。黎海寧以女書入密，引 歷史的字字纖語，添註作家黃碧雲及西西的 當代「女書」作綴。舞蹈作品《女書》搜索 集體記憶，「墨」絡裡觀照個人故事，蹈出 一種妳 / 我 / 她獨有的情感姿勢。

This dance production is a contemporary extension of Nüshu (“ women ’ s script”), the written language developed and used exclusively by women in Jiangyong county, Hunan province, which has a four-hundred-year history.

Inspired by Nüshu and winner of two awards at the 2008 Hong Kong Dance Awards, HerStory is the final part of“Women’ s Trilogy”created by renowned choreographer Helen Lai. She has updated the work by weaving in the writings of Xi Xi and Wong Bik-wan, two female authors from Hong Kong. The dance idiom is likened to writing in Chinese, from which emerge emotive personal stories of women and evoke collective memories.

蘭陵王，長相異常柔美，每每打仗都要戴上 猙獰的面具，震懾敵軍。後來因功高蓋主， 故最終被賜下毒酒。

由香港舞蹈團藝術總監楊雲濤編導，以南北 朝名將蘭陵王為藍本，於大型舞劇《蘭陵． 入陣》中，以舞蹈糅合武術，呈現一代將士 的勇猛英姿。

Lanling was a fearless warrior who defeated his enemies in many battles. Hidden behind the terrifying mask that he wore on the battlefields was a graceful, handsome face. However, the emperor was wary of the general’ s successes and finally ordered him killed with poisoned wine.

In this adaptation of the life story of the Prince of Lanling in the Northern and Southern Dynasties, Yang Yuntao, Artistic Director of Hong Kong Dance Company, merges martial arts and dance to portray the courageous image of this honourable warrior.

《凝》回歸最原始的身體探索，是一個跨越 中國舞蹈和武術的舞台表演作品。香港舞蹈 團藝術總監楊雲濤及多位舞蹈員，在歷時三 年的跨界藝術研究中 (2018-2020) 跟隨武術 師傅學習南方武術，重新感悟形體內外、線 條律動與東方哲理的關係，取中國舞蹈與南

方武術之精粹，合作編創出傳統中見新意的 舞作《凝》，作品於 2020 年首度公演，備受 矚目。

舞蹈藝術家通過學習和探索武術，打破固有 的肢體運動模式，以當代思維解構、重組、 形構舞與武的元素。《凝》捕捉舞者處於舞 蹈和武術之間而忘卻形體的一瞬，呈現形 神極致之美，其動作構想別樹一格，時而 蒼勁，時而婉約，韻味悠長，展現的身法、 步法、手法靈巧但穩健，塑造出豐富的舞動 質感。

Convergence is a culminating work created through an interdisciplinary research study on both Chinese dance and Chinese martial arts traditions. Yang Yuntao, Artistic Director of Hong Kong Dance Company, and a group of dancers, collaborated with kung fu masters of the Southern style for three years between 2018 and 2020. The partnership has yielded a deep awareness of the essence of Chinese martial arts which, as adapted by the research team, allows for a more profound understanding of the relationship between the sensorial body, the fluidity of movement it creates, and the philosophies of the East in the creation and performance of dance. Convergence made its debut in 2020 to great critical acclaim.

In Hong Kong Dance Company’ s three-year study, our artists have explored the essence of both traditional practices, extracting new perspectives on movement and the fluidity of expression between ideology and physical gesture. Convergence brings these discoveries together, capturing the transience between stillness and motion, tranquility and exuberance; all that one may find through the synergy of dance and martial arts.

Hong Kong Dance Company aims to impress the world with its fusion of contemporary arts creativity with Chinese dance of a Hong Kong character. HKDC values cultural exchange, promoting arts education and dance in diverse communities, strengthening cultural heritage, and providing opportunities to people of different backgrounds to enjoy the Company ’ s high-quality dance productions.

The Company spares no effort in arts education. Through a range of activities organised by HKDC’ s Outreach and Education Department and the HKDC Children’ s and Youth Troupes, students are provided with opportunities to experience the joys of Chinese dance, uncover their natural artistic abilities, and cultivate an interest in and appreciation for the art of dance.

舞團分別於 2006 及 2008 年創辦香港舞蹈

團兒童團及少年團（兒少團），有系統地 提升兒童及青少年的藝術修養與欣賞能力， 積極發展創新獨有的教與學模式──「學． 演．賞」，幫助兒童及青少年認識自我、發 掘潛能和建立自信，提升他們個人內在的藝 術修養，為他們帶來一個快樂自由及具創意 的舞蹈藝術空間。

兒少團曾參加全國少兒舞蹈比賽並獲得最 高榮譽金獎，成功樹立少兒舞蹈表演藝術團 體的品牌。兒少團除了每年演出大型舞台 節目外，亦積極開展對外的藝術文化交流 活動，先後踏足北京、青島、上海、深圳、 台灣、番禺、廣州、馬來西亞沙巴、濟南、 新加坡及大灣區等地區進行交流展演。兒少 團為有志向專業發展的青少年提供高質素 的專業訓練，為進入香港演藝學院或其他專 科學校的職業培訓鋪路。

Established in 2006 and 2008 respectively, the HKDC Children’ s and Youth Troupes (the Troupes) comprehensively elevate arts training and appreciation for children and young people. Their unique, innovative educational model “Training – Performance – Appreciation”allows students to understand themselves, uncover hidden potential, build selfesteem, and advance their personal artistic development.

The Troupes have participated in and won the highest honours at the China National Children’ s Dance Competition, successfully establishing their own youth dance brand. In addition to performing in a large-scale dance programme every year, the Troupes also take an active role in cultural exchange events, having visited Beijing, Qingdao, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Panyu, Guangzhou, Taiwan, Sabah (Malaysia), Jinan, Singapore and the Greater Bay Area for exchanges and demonstrations. The Troupes provide exceptional professional dance training to young people aspiring to dance as a career, offering a more specialised training path to enter the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA) or other professional institutions.

課程由本團導師為團員度身編寫，設有恆常課程及多元化課程，注重團員基礎能力的訓練， 提高身體的協調性和柔軟度，及樹立開、繃、直的正確規格，塑造團員挺拔的身體姿態之 餘，提升他們對傳統審美和舞蹈表現等初步理念。 Our programmes consist of regular classes and diversified classes that are tailor-made for the Troupes. The courses emphasise skills training to enhance students’physical coordination and flexibility, so that they are able to accomplish such aspects of dance as turn-out, pointe and extension of body. In addition to training students in correct posture, the courses also strengthen their foundational concepts of traditional aesthetic and dance expression.

因應團員不同的學習進度及水平安排適切的展示平台，提升團員的表演能力和合作性，推 動積極學習。本團亦經常與其他藝術團體合作，為團員提供寶貴的學習和演出體驗。 We provide a wide range of platforms for students of different levels to develop their performing skills. Through performances, students learn about teamwork and the concept of working towards objectives. The Troupes also connect with other arts organisations, seeking for more opportunities for students to gain valuable learning and performing experiences.

「學演並重」的方式讓團員從訓練與演出的過程更加認識自我，同時體現中華文化的內涵， 並打開欣賞的眼光，賞析美的多樣性。透過「藝術共賞」計劃，鼓勵團員觀賞演出、參與 演後藝人談，觀摩專業舞者訓練、參與專題講座、工作坊等，對誘發團員思考、審美觀和 個人藝術發展都有相當的裨益。本團更積極組織交流活動，讓團員走出課程，將眼界擴展 至天下各藝。

Appreciation

In addition to their classroom lessons, students are encouraged to watch performances and participate in meet-the-artist sessions. We organise talks and workshops, as well as class demonstrations and rehearsals for students. The“Arts Appreciation Scheme”allows students to hone their artistic sensibilities. We also organise exchange activities in many parts of the world, encouraging students to step out of classroom to see, feel, and appreciate the arts from different perspectives.

Connecting with people through Chinese dance is a founding mission of Hong Kong Dance Company. The Outreach and Education Department actively builds longterm partnerships with schools, groups, and the community through activities such as performances, courses, and workshops.

中國舞以身韻與動作的結合為特色，蘊含中 華文化的精髓。我們鼓勵大眾從這個優秀的 中國文化傳統汲取養份。舞團經常獲邀至 中、小學及大專院校進行導賞演出、舞蹈訓 練課程及工作坊，培養青少年的藝術賞析能 力，開拓其藝術視野。此外，舞團以社區和 公眾為對象舉辦舞蹈匯演及同樂活動，邀請 各界人士一同起舞，促進社會各方彼此接納 和欣賞。外展及教育部亦有開辦恆常課程， 如「北京舞蹈學院中國舞等級考試課程」以 及「晚間舞蹈課程」，鼓勵不同年齡人士以 舞蹈豐富生活。

Chinese dance, characterised by shen yun (body beauty, connotation, and temperament) and movement, contains the essence of Chinese culture. We encourage the public to learn from this cultural tradition of China and improve their own cultural literacy. HKDC is often invited to deliver art education performances, dance training courses, and workshops to primary and secondary schools as well as tertiary institutions, to cultivate young people’ s art appreciation and broaden their artistic vision. The Company also organises dance performances and other fun activities for the community, inviting everyone to dance together to promote mutual acceptance and appreciation among all walks of life. The Outreach and Education Department also offers regular courses, including the “ Beijing Dance Academy Chinese Dance Graded Examination Courses”and“Evening Dance Courses” , to encourage people of all ages to enrich their lives with dance.

《世界舞蹈日 2024》 World Dance Day 2024 27.4.2024

「世界舞蹈日」是由聯合國教科文組織屬下的國際舞蹈委員會倡議及訂定的 全球舞蹈日。香港舞蹈團與香港舞蹈總會響應呼籲，於 2024 年 4 月 27 日 假沙田大會堂廣場聯手舉辦《世界舞蹈日 2024》，匯集多個本地舞蹈團體 及隊伍為公衆展演不同種類的舞蹈，希望藉此機會帶動全港市民一同起舞。 “World Dance Day”is an international celebration initiated and established by the International Dance Council under UNESCO. Hong Kong Dance Company and Hong Kong Dance Federation will join forces to present World Dance Day 2024 on 27 April 2024 at Plaza, Sha Tin Town Hall. The event will bring together a number of local dance troupes and teams to perform a wide range of dances for the public. We hope this will be an opportunity to bring the people of Hong Kong together through dance!
