LIFE SCIENCE MENTORING

The Nordic Mentor Network for Entrepreneurship (NOME) is an elite Nordic Mentoring Program for promising life science projects and startups, driven by the vision of transforming Nordic life science startups into internationally renowned commercial successes. This is done by matching selected Nordic startups with highly skilled volunteer professionals to help them reach their goals and technology milestones.

A 2 Year Mentoring Programme

for Nordic Life Science Startups

NOME is an elite mentoring programme that facilitates long-term mentorship by 2-4 industry mentors for selected startups.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM
“The mentors’ advice sharpened my business plan significantly and led to progression in the negotiations with VCs, they introduced me to opportunities (both strategic and financial)”.

Alexander Hovard Sparre-Ulrich, CEO Antag

WHAT WE PROVIDE

All mentors are selected from among the best life science experts in the Nordics and the US. They are selected based on their experience, their skills as advisors and their desire to assist others.

The duration of the programme is initially 18 months. However, it can be extended another 6 months. The frequency of the mentor meetings is dependent on the specific requirements of each startup.

Partnership with the California Life Sciences Institute (CLSI) grants us unique access to companies in the US market and opportunities for early-stage testing.

NOME takes no fee or equity. All services including tailored mentoring and consultation are without charge.

The Novo Nordisk Foundation, Medicon Village, KI Innovations AB, Turku Business Region, Oslo Cancer Cluster Incubator, Aleap, Vertical, BioInnovation Institute, Uppsala Innovation Centre, Life Science Nord, Scanbalt and Accelerace have joined forces ensuring a unique combination of life science expertise and entrepreneurial knowledge.

MENTORS

The NOME mentors are high-profile life science executives, investors, experts and serial entrepreneurs, based in the Nordics and the US. Together, they have a vast experience in pharmaceuticals, medical devices, digital health and industrial biotech.

No, at this moment NOME is only open for life science startups from the Nordic countries.

The programme will focus on projects and teams with high commercial potential. The first step is an application that will be evaluated by a NOME partner. A relevant NOME partner will then interview the applicant to gain a better understanding of the project, the team, ambitions and the project needs. The last step is a presentation to the steering committee for a final selection of projects to be offered the NOME mentoring service.

You are welcome to suggest mentors with whom you would like to work. However, we cannot guarantee you will be matched with your suggestions. We ensure you will receive the best mentors based on the needs of your project.
