Title: Machine Operator (Kiln Operator)
Starting Rate: $24/hr. Plus $2/hr. Shift Premium
Shift: 5:00PM - 5:00AM. 12-Hour Rotating Shift (2 days on 2 days off)
*Off every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday))
*Work every Wednesday with alternating shift each week - 1 week 5pm-11pm, next week 11pm-6am
Description:
Manufacturing position assisting in the building of varistor blocks which are used in the assembly of high voltage surge arresters
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in the making of varistor blocks used in the assembly of high voltage surge arrestors
- Able to perform function of the kilns such as loading and unloading blocks per Process Specification and all operating procedures – Loading and unloading Binder Burnout Ovens.
- Follow all safety rules and lock out tag out regulations for self and others.
- Able to distinguish between good and out of spec product.
Skills and Experience:
- Perform basic tasks on a PC or tablet.
- Work a 12 hour shift.
- Work in hot and humid environment.
- Stand on your feet for extended period.
- Lift up to 50 pounds.
- Work in a fast-paced setting
- Able to do repeated monotonous work
- Operate a forklift/hand truck (we will train).
- Function in a team environment.
- Maintain a reliable attendance record
- Must be willing and able to work overtime and assist with covering vacations as needed
