About the event

We are excited to invite you to an afternoon thought leadership event in partnership with Extreme E at the Barbican Centre on 31 January 2024.

Extreme E is a radical off-road racing series, which showcases electric SUVs and futuristic technologies in some of the world's most remote and challenging environments. The first sport to ever be built out of a social purpose, Extreme E aims to minimise environmental impact while maximising awareness, racing in places that have already been damaged or affected by climate change or human interference and taking fans deep into the heart of the most pressing issues facing our planets future.

As Extreme E's official technology communications partner, we work together towards our shared commitment to create a positive environmental impact through technology.

Join us where subject matter experts from Vodafone Business, Extreme E, WWF and the Carbon Trust come together to showcase how you can embrace innovative enabling technologies to help accelerate your sustainability journey with confidence.

If you have any questions about the event, please get in touch with us.

Vodafone Business is determined to act responsibly and with integrity, wherever we operate: what we do matters but so does how we work. This approach extends across our business and applies equally to our partner and customer external events.

We therefore endeavour to host our Innovation for Impact summit on a sustainable basis.

Many of the decisions we have made in the planning of Innovation for Impact are based on a sustainable and purposeful basis. Some of these decisions are ours alone, others involve decisions for you yourselves as our guest.

icon

Event Venue

The venue for Innovation for Impact is the Barbican in London. The Barbican is a frequent winner of sustainability awards for its transparent delivery of sustainable event venue solutions. The building is 100% powered by renewable sources and has a pro-active approach to withdrawing all single-use plastics on site.

icon

Travel

We have selected the Barbican to host Innovation for Impact on the basis of its sustainable credentials but also due to its accessibility via public transport.

Delegate travel frequently makes up over 75% of the total emissions of an event. By hosting Summit at the Barbican we hope you will be able to travel both to and from the venue via public transport to help minimise the environmental impact of the Summit.

  • Rail: The nearest National Rail station to the Barbican Centre is Moorgate (7-minute walk) with Old Street and Farringdon also relatively close by (under a 15-minute walk away.)
  • Tube: The nearest Tube station to the Barbican Centre is Barbican (Circle, Hammersmith and City and Metropolitan Lines) with Moorgate also close by (Circle, Hammersmith and City, Metropolitan and Northern Line.)
  • If you have any accessibility requirements you may find these here.

Food & Beverage

As the duration of this event is short, we have chosen to cater with a low-carbon menu. We hope you will understand our reasoning behind such a decision.
