For the rest of this semester and the assessment period, The Union are pulling out all the stops to make sure you’ve got exactly what you need to be able to succeed. We know sometimes things aren’t easy and finding a balance between uni, home life and even work can be overwhelming.

Forgotten your breakfast or just need a little extra boost? If you’re passing by The Union on any of the above days and times, come and grab some free toast. There’ll be loads of toppings to choose from, too.

Free goody bags 🍭

Where? - The Library Lounge

When? - Wednesday 8 May, from noon 

 

The Union are providing the guys over at the library with free goody bags to hand out to you guys when you’re on campus. Expect some snacks, stationary, and other bits to help make your day a little easier.

Free sandwiches 🥪

Where? - The Union and Unit One

When? - Every weekday until 24 May, 10:30 until 11:30 at Unit One and 12:30 until 13:30 in The Union

 

We’re giving away 30 free sandwiches every day until 24 May to first year students living in halls. If you’re around campus and fancy a bite to eat (and are a first-year student living in halls), pop along to one of the locations above and grab yourself a free breakfast or lunch.

Tokens will be given out at your halls so keep an eye out and bring it along to The Union or Unit One when you get one.

You might not be aware of Unit One yet, but it’s our brand-new community café and bar located right next to the Brooks Building in Hulme (on Stretford Road). So, if you fancy checking them out too, this is the perfect opportunity.

Even more freebies, when you’re studying in The Union’s study spaces during the above dates, we’ll be floating between areas handing out free hot drinks to you guys as a random act of kindness. We’ll even take your order and bring it right back to your study space for you.

New study space 📖

Where? - The Union

When? - Every weekday until 24 May

 

The Union’s third floor has been transformed into multiple brand-new study spaces and break out zones. There’s no need to book this space, just come along and find a spot. The breakout zones are in the open areas of the third floor and the quieter study zones are location within the meeting rooms.

As well as this, there's some brand new seating in The Shop area, perfect for group study (they have multiple power sockets) or just socialising. It's also in the perfect place to grab your study snacks whilst you're at it.

As always, we also have the quiet study zone on the second floor too, as well as the Café, the Main Hall and other spots to just relax across the building.
