Miura Shohei & Kiritani Mirei announce their marriage

Actor Miura Shohei (30) and actress Kiritani Mirei (28) have announced their marriage.

In a joint statement, the couple wrote, "While spending time together as co-workers, we were drawn to each other's personalities and started dating with marriage in mind. We each have many things that the other doesn't have, so we feel that we will be able to support each other and overcome any hardships and difficulties that we might face in the future. We hope to build a family that can endlessly laugh about silly things together."


Miura and Kiritani co-starred in the 2016 drama 'Suki na Hito ga Iru Koto.' Last year, they were spotted on dates, and it was reported that their relationship started that spring. Earlier in May, rumors surfaced that the two would be getting married soon to which both agencies commented that nothing had been decided yet. When Miura was interviewed by reporters in June, he confirmed that he and Kiritani were dating.

In a survey held by Oricon Japan last month, some 500 Japanese females aged 10 to 50-plus chose the face of the Japanese female celebrity that they want to have the most. Topping the ranking is actress Keiko Kitagawa, who was also the first in last year’s ranking. Here are the top 10 Japanese celebrities whose beauty is most envied among women in Japan. This consecutive win not only marks Kitagawa’s sixth No. 1 place in this ranking that has been running for the 14th time, it is also the first time since 2009 when an actress who is also a mum topped the ranking. Givenchy Appoints Nanao as Japan Ambassador

Givenchy has named Nanao as its new Japan ambassador, marking the first time the French fashion house has appointed a Japanese actress as a face of the brand, it said. A model, actress and TV personality, Nanao has starred in a variety of series and movies since embarking on her career in 2009, including action comedy “Hell’s Garden” and TV show “Ninja ni Kekkon wa Muzukashii,” the story of two ninjas from rival clans who get married without knowing each other’s true identities. Givenchy creative director Matthew M. Williams praised her attitude. “I really admire Nanao for her professional versatility as well as her personal energy and style.
