  • Jazzing up the Leadership Repertoire: Findings from Action Research

    The purpose of this paper is to illustrate how distributed leadership worked within the framework of an elementary school. The project developed as a result of teacher inquiry about ways to use data to provide instruction to increase student achievement in mathematics. Results indicated that engaging in action research through distributed leadership practices changed teachers’ assumptions about the use of data to drive instruction; teachers began to work more cohesively to meet the needs of all…

    The purpose of this paper is to illustrate how distributed leadership worked within the framework of an elementary school. The project developed as a result of teacher inquiry about ways to use data to provide instruction to increase student achievement in mathematics.
