I had the honour of having the arc sent to me and MY GOD!!! THIS WAS PERFECTION!!! You love the main characters, Jax and Evi. Literally obsessed with them!! But if you’re like me and you’re a sucker for a side character… RYAN 😍
The book was officially released today but I need book 2 like now lol. That cliffhanger has me rolling on the floor

This book completely sucked me in! I stayed up to 3am without even realising I just had to keep reading. From the little tease in the prologue to the world wind drama of Evi's life and to eventually meeting Jax!
Evi is just trying her best at doing her own thing, cutting herself off from her parents' wealth to pursue her dreams. She gets involved with the wrong guy. A guy who looks good on paper but doesn't treat her right at all. There is a lot of darkness in Evi's life at this stage and I would recommend you check your triggers before reading this.
But soon we see a knight in shining armour in the unlikely form of ex-convict and crimelord, Jax. This is the part where we get the 'touch her and you die vibes', which just so happen to be my favourite! 😍 The steam is all there with these two! And Jax helps Evi be the best version of herself. It's very much he falls first and he falls hard! And I love when the big bad crimelord goes all soft and gooey for her 🥰
A fantastic debut romance novel and I can't wait to read more! Maybe glimpse a bit more inside the Poison Ivy club 👀 and I hope Ryan gets his own book!

Wowww!!!! I LOVED THIS DARK ROMANCE STORY. Impressive debut and I couldn't put this book down. I need book 2 now to heal my soul! 😂 That ending .... 😳

She is at a club dancing her heart out with her best friend Sam. It is her go-to place to let everything go for at a night. Forget that her family disowned her after she dropped out of law school. Forget that her dreams of being an artist is getting more discouraging as each art gallery turns her work away. Forget that she has no one who cares.
She wakes up the next morning with a hangover and disoriented. How did she get here? She is in her bedroom, but she is wearing pajamas from her stepmother which she had hidden and never wore. Then she remembers the gorgeous man she bumped into at the bar. He got her safely home and after getting her comfortable left only leaving a note... without a name.
Evi is surprised when she receives a message about an interview at the club Poison Ivy. Not knowing her friend had applied for her knowing she needed a job that paid more than the diner where she was currently a waitress. Sam demands they go to The Heat to dance, drink and celebrate.
Since she met her boyfriend Rhett two months ago at the diner she had been neglecting her girl's nights with Sam. He is everything her family would love. Smooth Southern charm and a law degree. When he offers to help her with her past due bills she reluctantly agrees to his loan not realizing what she has agreed to.
This book is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. First a warning, this book has a cliffhanger... a massive HEA taken away cliffhanger. That being said I can't wait for the next book.
Evi is on a path of destruction not realizing until it was too late that her boyfriend wasn't who she thought he was. But then she sees the face of her savior. A man who she is warned against, but who makes her finally feel safe.
This book is full of triggering items so beware... drug abuse, overdose, violence, sexual abuse and non-consent. She let the wolf in sheep's clothing lead her down a destructive path and finds an unlikely savior who would burn down the world for her.
It has a slow start as Evi spirals out of control with cocaine and pills, but it is worth getting through and the ending is totally unexpected. This book may have taken us on the dark side of drugs, but I feel book 2 is going to a much darker story as Evi fights for her life.
This is EA Wilde's first book and can't wait to see what comes next.

Allow me to remove my jaw from the floor before I point out that this is a debut novel and to say that I am impressed is an understatement. It was a refreshing take on a contemporary dark romance that had a really in-depth plot for the length of it (I read it in a few sits). We sort of glossed over a lot of the build up part of the story, but in a way that just gets us closer to Mr. morally Grey faster which is what we all really want here.
Mr. Turner - more like Mr. Crime Lord who tucks this woman in to bed. Mr. Everyone else better be scared of me but never you love. Jax is something else. I was concerned he fell too hard too fast, but I fell for him after one page so really which one of us is the walking red flag 🚩
And our FMC Evi is a stunning artist dancing in the club with paint in her hair who can’t sell her art and upends her seemingly perfect life that leaves her feeling alone and unfulfilled and spirals into a storm of poor choices. As we go along for this ride with her and feel all of her pain so thoroughly, but we just wish she could see herself the way Jax does. It’s not a light and fluffy read - I recommend you check TW for this one.
Even the side characters had me giggling and I’ve already put in my informal request that Ryan needs his own book.
I loved this book and I love you for sharing it with me before the release date, but I don’t know if I can forgive you for the way this ended. I guess we will find out when Book 2 is released…

This is a dark romance. You will want to heed the warnings in the beginning of this book. It will contain triggers for some readers. I will also warn you that once you pick up this book you won't be able to lay it down. This is the story of Evi and Jax. She is a girl who wants to live her best life and do her own things. She has gone as far as to cut herself off of her parents money to chase her dreams. However, she is making a terrible mistake when it comes to dating and dating someone that she has no business dating. He is a horrible human being and treat her horribly. I wanted to punch him in the throat so many times. There are some really dark moments that you are going to go through with her. However, her life is turning and a knight in shining armor is on the horizon. To say he is most unexpected would be an understatement. Jax was once a crime lord and has been to prison. However he is still very much a man that you do not want to mess with but he is also about to turn her life around and help her be the best version of herself that she can possibly be.

Some decisions can alter your life from the best to the worst in a blink of an eye. Evangline aka Evi is having a girls noght with her best friend Sam at a night club. Just deciding ro drop out of law achool. Getting tipsy to drunk in a blink of an eye, she bumps into a greek god man dressed in blck with tattoos peeking out. But being a total gentleman he gets her home after passing out. But, the next think Evinknows it she is cut from her family and funds she is left questioning how shenwill pay her bills. Her new boyfriend doesnt see her in the best of lighr. Leaving her doing wuestiinsaboe things.’ But her best friend who she is slowly cutting out of her life, Sam comes in and find her a right opportunity. That opportunity is at The Poison Oak Club. There she can float a little. But goes to her new boyfriend striking a dangerously deal. This pissed me off. But she is a cornered animal and had to do what she needed. Even though she couldve went to her best friend Sam. But anyways, her bad decisions gets worst and she flies close to death. Her family still doesnt reach out and her stranger whom she met at the night club become her night and shining armor.
Now she must come clean and he wants to help, but what happens again will affect her life. This does end a cliffhanger and it leaves us wanting to know what will happen to Evi, Jax, Ryan and Sam. Hello??

I had the immense pleasure of reading this book early, and let me just say, WOW! It is a rollercoaster from start to finish that keeps you hooked! You will not want to put this book down because you will just NEED to know what happens next to the loveable main character, Evi.
Evi is a character we can all find a bit of ourselves in. The strong need for love, acceptance and validation can lead us down paths we never expected to find ourselves on and at times, like Evi, we may find ourselves completely lost. At times, we all need a little saving.
Sprinkled with STEAMY sex scenes that are sure to make you blush, Find Me will keep you coming back for more ;)

This story took me by surprise. I was taken on quite a journey, following the tumultuous life of Evi as she makes both good and horrible decisions. She is such a wonderful character, you feel for her, celebrate with her, weep for her, and cheer her on throughout the entire story. I felt immersed in her life as if I were a friend.
Things get even more interesting when a mysterious, drop dead sexy man swoops in and shifts things even more for poor Evi.
If you are into deep characters, heart wrenching drama, bad boys with morally grey ideals, and steamy romance, you will not be disappointed!

This book captured me from the start. I love how the author makes you feel what the character is going through rather than telling you. The writing is done beautifully where you are frustrated as the reader and question if the author made a mistake or overlooked the topic but then BAM, she uses another character to ask what you want to know!
The ending has me on the edge of my seat waiting for the next book!
As the current TikTok videos are doing, if you like Ana Huang’s the Twisted Series you will love this book and I assume the series to come.

I had the pleasure of being a first reader on this one and LOVED IT, but I know there’s been a few updates since my read so I’m going to save my full review until I get my hot little hands on it and read it in all its published glory. Until then, I will say this one is DARK HOT AND STEAMY and I definitely would recommend it (but make sure you check the trigger warnings!!)

It's full of twists and turns, hot spicy scenes, and some extra dark bits throughout that leave you wondering what's next for our girl Evi. This book leaves you hanging on for the next one!

Oh my.
I'm in a whirlwind of feelings.
I read it in less than 24 hours. Clearly, I loved it.
But there was too much reverberating vibes from the Cat&Mouse duet.
Especially the ending.
So, I'm ready for the sequel, to see where this goes.

What a debut by E.A. Wilde! I read the book in one day. I found it to be such a refreshing twist on a dark romance. This book ticked all the boxes...great characters, steamy, addictive story lines, and surprise endings!! 🌶🤯📚 Can't wait for book 2!
