These scholarship awards were created to help students who are experiencing an unplanned, urgent need for a laptop in order to fully engage at school, but who cannot afford to buy one. This is not meant as a temporary or "loan" situation for students whose need for a laptop is temporary; if you are having your computer repaired, for instance, or if you left a charge cord at another location and will have it back soon, a temporary "loan" or the short-term use of campus computer clusters is a better solution.
