AMC Boston Spring 2021 Cragging Days
We'd like to invite past Rock Program and Ice Program students, volunteers, and instructors to join us for top roping sessions at some of favorite local crags. We'll bring the gear and the ropes, you just need to bring your harnesses, shoes, helmets, masks, and enthusiasm.

Saturday April 10 - Quincy, MA @ Quincy Quarries
Saturday April 17 - Malden, MA @ Waitt’s Mountain Park
Saturday April 24 - Newton, MA @ Hammond Pond
Saturday May 1 - Hopkinton, MA @ College Rock

Each cragging day will run from approximately 9AM to 3PM and be limited to (10) participants. Participants will be selected on a first come, first serve basis, with the goal of accommodating as many climbers as possible. Feel free to sign-up for multiple sessions, but note the one that interests you the most. Selected participants will be notified by e-mail. Given the AMC's COVID restrictions on group size, only selected climbers will be able to attend.

In the event of rain or inclement weather, the cragging sessions will be moved to the following day, weather permitting.

All participants will be required to follow AMC COVID guidelines related to group size, social distancing, mask compliance and hand washing / hand sanitizing.

COVID Precautions & Participant Behavior Protocol
The AMC has outlined a series of protocols designed to keep participants and members of the community safe. All participants, regardless of vaccination status, will be required to adhere to these guidelines.

Although the person climbing next to you may appear healthy, their roommates, members of their family, or childcare bubble may be in a vulnerable population. If you are unable to adhere to the requirements below, we'd ask that you join us at a future event when these protocols are not in effect.

All participants will be required to wear a mask for the duration of the program, except the individuals who are climbing, assuming that they can maintain a distance of at least six feet from all other participants, their belayer, and individuals in their immediate vicinity.

All "club gear" used during the program will be quarantined for a minimum of seven days in advance of the program and for seven days following the program.

When you arrive at your cragging session, the facilitator / assistant will ask you the following questions:

1.) Have you been given a COVID-19 diagnosis or been asked to quarantine by a medical professional in the last 14 days?

2.) Are you currently experiencing any of the following symptoms: cough, chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, loss of taste or smell, or fever?

3.) Have you been exposed to anyone with COVID-19 in the past 14 days?

4.) Have you traveled to any state deemed to be a high-risk by the State of Massachusetts within the past 14 days?

5.) Have you traveled outside of the country in the past 14 days?

A “yes” to any of these questions will result in your exclusion from that day's events.

If you know that you won't be able to participate due to travel, exposure, or symptoms, please notify us in advance so that we can give your spot to another climber.

Failure to wear your mask (fully covering your nose and mouth) will result in your removal from that day's event and exclusion from future AMC Boston Climbing events.

Will you comply with the AMC's COVID precautions and behavior protocols? *
