ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The ASPN Sports Tech Accelerator, a 6-month program, is proud to be Asia’s pioneering sports technology innovation accelerator. With 104 startups from 22 countries in our ecosystem, we’ve successfully accelerated an international network for cross-industry collaboration.

Supported by the Sports Administration, Ministry of Education Taiwan, and executed by IAPS ( Center of Industry Accelerator and Patent Strategy, NYCU), our mission now extends to establishing and expanding the sports innovation ecosystem across the Asia-Pacific region. Collaborating with government departments of ASPN ( APEC Sports Policy Network ) member economies, we aim to seamlessly connect sports technology resources throughout the Asia-Pacific region, unite sports technology accelerators, and craft a robust Sports Technology Asia Hub.

The program will be conducted in a HYBRID format – International startups will have a 100% Virtual program and local Taiwanese startups will be invited to several physical events.

*International startups that will be able to travel to Taiwan will also be optionally invited to attend the physical events.

This will give us an initial evaluation of your startups status.

The application’s deadline is December 29, 2023

The Orientation is scheduled to take place in collaboration with the 2023 Taiwan Sport Industry Expo on December 27th at Songshan Cultural and Creative Park.

The application deadline is extended until 11:00 on January 10th (GMT+8)

 

 

 

The beginning of your journey to success! Through the pitch competition judges will evaluate different directions, such as market potential, business model, target audience, product status, etc. Ultimately judges will select 8-12 startups into ASPN Sports Tech Accelerator program.
The mentors will analyze the startups’ structure and condition, providing suggestions and setting up individual milestones for the program.
Startups will participate in a workshop conducted by international-level instructors. Startups can enhance pitching skills and adjust/improve the pitch-deck content and design.
Specific match-made meetings for the startups to discuss with the highest-level university professors from sports academia in Taiwan, seeking opportunities for industry-academia cooperation.
The mentors will review the milestone progress of startups in this duration. Additionally, the mentors will keep coaching on the startups’ development. Time to look back and see how far we’ve come to take the necessary steps moving forward!

We will invite well-resourced mentors, as well as representatives from various sports associations, for rapid one-on-one sessions. Through this activity, startups can quickly connect with various resources, facilitating the development of further collaboration opportunities in a short timeframe.

After receiving mentorship in value addition, operational strategy, and presentation enhancement, we invited expert mentors from diverse backgrounds to perform a thorough assessment and refinement for startups.

The startups will show their achievements after going through the program. Judges, Mentors and Investors will evaluate the startups on different directions, such as market potential, business model, target audience, product status, etc. Outstanding teams will receive awards from Sports Administration, IAPS and our Partners!
