JAIDEN GALLOWAY

School: Grandview High School

Year: Senior

Height: 5-foot-7

2017-18 averages: 5.4 points, 4.8 assists, 2.9 steals, 1.9 rebounds per game

Season highlights: Coach Josh Ulitzky’s Grandview team finished 25-3 and repeated as Class 5A state champions with a group of players who had clearly defined roles and Galloway did exactly what her team needed to win. The All-Centennial League first teamer — who has signed with Metro State — was asked to spearhead the Wolves’ pressure defense and be a distributor with the ball in her hands. Galloway did both with a lot of success, as her 4.8 assists per game was second-best in Aurora and ranked sixth in all of 5A, while she also averaged a team-high 2.9 steals per contest. Galloway knocked down the occasional outside shot, but was adept at penetration and she averaged 5.4 points per game, including a season-high of 12 points in a win over Horizon. Galloway — a repeat A-Town All-Star Girls Game selection — has also been selected to play in the Colorado Coaches of Girls Sports All-State Game at 3 p.m. March 18 at Arvada West High School.

Galloway vs. Aurora teams: vs. Regis Jesuit (5 points, 6 steals; 5 points, 7 assists); vs. Smoky Hill (7 points, 8 assists; 4 points, 8 assists, 4 steals); vs. Cherokee Trail (2 points, 4 steals; 6 points, 8 assists, 5 steals); vs. Eaglecrest (2 points, 4 assists, 3 steals; 10 points, 6 assists, 5 steals); vs. Overland (6 points, 6 assists, 3 steals; 6 points, 4 assists)
