AstroDharma offers us the tools of timeless Buddhist wisdom applied to help us skillfully navigate our soul map, our natal astrological chart.

Transpersonal astrology draws on Jungian principles and Western mythology to understand how unique we each are, and at the same time how our experiences as humans are universal. Buddhism packs 2500 years of profound consciousness studies to ensure that the transformations in our lifetime are based in loving kindness, compassion and wisdom.

This course offered at Hollyhock is designed to help you:
- better identify patterns in your own astrological birth chart;
- recognize and develop opportunities and gifts shown in your chart;
- identify and loosen blocks, freeing up energy;
- recognize and transform challenges into strengths.
The aim is ever deeper self-realization and connection with our higher purpose for this lifetime. You’re invited to dive deeper into the transformational process by working on a specific personal challenge.
We’ll take advantage of various modalities for this work: guided visualizations, journaling, drawing, constellation role play, social presencing theater and found-object mandalas.

About the Teacher, Catherine Pawasarat Sensei
Catherine Pawasarat Sensei has been a student of astrology and dharma for more than 25 years. She has been a dharma trainer and teacher of the path of awakening since the early 2000s.
Catherine began her spiritual practices in earnest in her early 20s. At this time she struggled to overcome personal suffering. She also found it hard to make sense of international environmental and social justice challenges. This struggle led her to became a student of metaphysics, Western spiritual traditions, ayahuasca sacraments and Buddhadharma.
Since 1998 she has trained daily with Acariya Doug Duncan. This training has been an intensive spiritual apprenticeship that is rare in the modern West. With Doug she is co-founder of Clear Sky Retreat Center in the BC Rockies and Planet Dharma, and a lineage holder for these teachings.
Catherine worked as an advocacy photojournalist and studied traditional Japanese arts (including koto, shamisen, kyogen) in Kyoto for 20 years, culminating in her landmark work at GionFestival.org. Throughout the year she travels internationally giving dharma teachings with Doug Sensei. She also offers an introductory online course in astrology. In addition, Catherine supports social entrepreneurship for spiritual practitioners at AkasaVision Consulting.
