50 Mile Challenge - Ayrshire Cancer Support

Ayr Racecourse's grounds team are taking on a challenge to raise vital funds for charity. By donating to this fundraiser you are supporting Ayrshire Cancer Support.

Starting on Friday 12th May they aim to walk an amazing 50 miles, pitching their tents and camping along the way, starting in the hills near Barr, heading towards Ballantrae, and once at the coast follow the Ayrshire coastal path back towards Ayr Racecourse, finishing with a lap of the track and crossing the finishing line as a winning team.

Ayr Racecourses team work hard all year round but are always looking for ways to support charities where they can, and this massive challenge sums up their commitment to helping others whenever the opportunity arises.

The two charities they are supporting in their 2023 challenge are:

Ayrshire Cancer Support – Ayrshire Cancer Support are Ayrshire’s leading cancer charity that provides practical help and emotional support to people in Ayrshire affected by cancer. Racing Welfare- Racing Welfare is a registered charity supporting the workforce of British horseracing. They offer professional guidance and practical help to the stud, stable and racecourse staff whose dedication is vital for the well-being of racing.
