If you are an employer or business premises owner that is
still operating, you must adhere to government guidance on good practice for
social distancing.
We appreciate that the vast majority are observing the
guidance for which we thank you. However, there are still numerous reports that the guidance is not being
fully implemented and the potential consequences of this are very serious.
Full
detail can be found here (updated on 6 April)
This guidance applies to your employees, your
customers, and how they interact by maintaining a distance of 2m apart.
You must implement or strengthen measures in your workplace,
if you have not done so already, in order to meet the government’s guidance and
ensure social distancing.
The government is committed to enforcing measures that will
reduce our day to day contact with other people to reduce the rate of
transmission of coronavirus. The police and other
relevant authorities have the powers to issue prohibition notices and fixed
penalty notices to those who breach the guidelines. Businesses that continue to
contravene the measures will be forced to close down.
Thank you for your understanding and support at this
challenging time for us all.
We are all sharing the responsibility to stop the spread of
the virus in order to protect lives.
Yours sincerely,
