On Monday night, March 27, 2023, the Carroll ISD Board of Trustees voted to amend FDA (LOCAL) Policy. This amendment allows for additional students to request a transfer into CISD. This includes:

"interest form". The official transfer application process will open on the CISD website on Monday, April 17, 2023. CISD Administration will send additional notification when this process officially opens. For more information about this process can view the Student Services website

When does this new open enrollment for the City of Westlake residents and City of Southlake first responders take place? The new open enrollment policy will take effect for the 2023-24 school year.
What is the process for application? A completed application form as well as other required items must be submitted via the open enrollment website once it opens on April 17th, 2023 at this link.
Will there be limited open enrollment spots available? Seats will be filled based on space availability and shall be prioritized by category in accordance FDA (LOCAL). Parents applying under the new policy may find various grade levels closed at the campus closest to their home. Although transfers are granted on space availability, the applicant will be able to rank their campus preferences for CISD to consider.
Is there a charge for tuition under the CISD open enrollment policy? Families that are eligible in FDA (LOCAL) will not be charged tuition to attend CISD schools.
Will there be a yearly application process? The Texas Education Code stipulates that every district that has open enrollment must have an annual reapplication requirement. Consideration is by student and not by family and each student transfer request is considered on space availability.
