Do you sell shipping containers without the modifications?

Our main focus is on selling shipping containers that are modified to create prefabricated building solutions. However, we are still happy to help if you just want a stock container.

Can I complete part of the modifications independently?

In order to retain CNG Containers' exceptional standards for integrity, quality and safety we provide turnkey products. We have over 35 years of combined experience and all of the certifications to meet industry standards.

What grade of shipping containers do you use?

Depending on the end-use, we use both single-use and used shipping containers. Used shipping containers may be more cost-effective, however, there is no record of what goods have been shipped in it over time.

How much does a shipping container cost?

Being a commodity, the cost of shipping containers varies based on quality and availability.

Do you handle permitting?

We are here to help, but it is up to the owner to pull permits. Contact your local county or municipality to discuss permit requirements.

Do you build homes or cabins?

We can – but our specialty is heavy-duty, industrial, and commercial solutions. If you’re interested in having CNG Containers custom design, engineer, and modify a shipping container home for you, here are a few things to consider before requesting a quote:

  1. Contrary to popular belief, shipping container homes are not necessarily cheaper than a traditional, stick-built house - that is because the typical finishings, fixtures, and appliances are the most costly components. True savings come from the benefits of prefab construction which offers a shorter project timeline and less construction time on site.

  2. Contact your local county or municipality first to discuss permit requirements. Each county has different regulations and it is the owner's responsibility to pull permits.

  3. Have a clear vision and budget and know what services (ie. water, power, gas, sewer) are available on your property.

Can you provide certification for classified zones?

Yes, we have the experience and credentials to meet industry standards and provide certifications for classified zones. Our Container Solutions are fully engineered, built with CWB certified welding and to Canadian Standards Association CSA-a277 which can certify the unit as a modular building anywhere in Canada and ensures it meets all building codes nationally including structural, electrical, plumbing and insulation components.
