Camp Cranberry - Summer Camp 2020

March 2, 2020

Some time in the Great Outdoors is delightful for our kiddos!

Recognizing that a little fresh air goes a long way, Cranberry Township has a unique offering that ensures children have a safe, fun-filled summer.

Camp Cranberry, an 11-week series of week-long themed camps, will get kids outside, experiencing nature and interacting with others their age – no electronic devices needed.

With offerings for children ranging from 3 to 15 years of age, Camp Cranberry is operated by the Township’s Parks & Recreation Department Mondays through Fridays beginning June 8.

Campers are organized into three age groups: Mini-Movers for 3- and 4-year olds, Pee Wee for those 5 and 6, and Youth camps for kids 6 through 12. A Counselor in Training camp is also offered for ages 13 through 15.

Regular camp hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., although half-day programs are available for campers ages 3 through 6. Early drop-off and late pickup are also options.

Camp themes being offered this year include Dinosaurs, Space, Sports, Science, Builders, Fairytales, Time Travelers, Superheroes and Crazy Colors. Each program is the goal of improving a child’s motor, social and technical skills.

Youth camps include field trips to related attractions such as the Carnegie Science Center, Heinz History Center, the National Aviary, Heinz Field and Cranberry’s own emergency services. Guest speakers will also be invited to talk about their special interests.

Being safe while having fun is Cranberry’s top priority. All counselors are trained in CPR, AED, and First Aid as well as in the use of Epi-Pens. All lifeguards are certified and on duty during every Waterpark visit, which occur Wednesday and Friday afternoons for campers age 5 through 12.

Full-day camp fees range from $175 to $200 for Cranberry residents. Campers are welcome to bring their own lunch, but Camp Cranberry can provide tasty and nutritious meals for just $20 a week.
