Cambodia Capstone Internship & Experiential Learning Program is a credit-bearing program designed for university students. Students will make use of their knowledge learnt from school to carry out training and research in rural area, as well as knowledge and cultural exchange with universities students in Cambodia
Period of Internship
June - July [Trip to Cambodia: 7 - 20 June 2019]
Eligibility:
Credit-bearing Mode: Year 3/Year 4 Students eligible for intake of Experiential Learning course in university
Non-credit-bearing mode: University students from all over different faculties and institutions of different countries

Program Objectives
To carry out research work in rural areas and research public health and socio-economic issues in related to food and nutritional aspect, including:
i. Health-related Survey
ii. Anthropometric measurement
iii. Food Safety
iv. Agricultural Practice
v. Nutrition Assessment
Internship contents
There are workshops in Hong Kong before the internship starts.
1. Lectures on Diet-related Diseases, Nutrition Assessment and Public Health
2. Seminar preparation and Rehearsal
3. Group project preparation
4. Simulation on lives in developing countries
In Cambodia, you will
- Present in seminars in universities co-organized with NGO and international agents
- Conduct health-related survey in rural villages
- Conduct anthropometric measurement in rural villages
- Visit NGOs
- Visit food factories and farm
After coming back to Hong Kong students will work on data analysis, report writing and presentation on the data collected
