CARSON VALLEY INN & CASINO - HOT ENTERTAINMENT LINE UP
“TJ’s Corral,” is named in honor of Theodore James “T.J.” Day, a prominent and successful Nevada businessman, community philanthropist, ranch operator and locomotive and aviation enthusiast who passed away in January of 2014. Carson Valley Inn owner Mike Pegram was a long-time friend of T.J.’s and admired the positive affects he had on education and many worthy causes in northern Nevada. After the loss of his friend, Mike decided to rename the new outdoor venue as a small tribute to a very important Nevadan.

Multi-platinum Quartz Hill Records’ Joe Nichols is one of country music’s most-lauded recording artists. A 21st century traditionalist, Nichols is an artist who is both timely and timeless – one who has racked nearly 2 billion music streams including a half-dozen Number 1 singles and ten Top 10 hits with a sound that blurs the boundaries between country music's past and present.
It's an approach that has earned Nichols three GRAMMY nominations, a CMA award, an ACM trophy, a CMT “Breakthrough Video of the Year” Award as well as multiple gold and platinum certified records. Nichols’ additional honors include awards from Billboard, Radio & Records and Music Row Magazine as well as a New York Times “Best-Albums-of-the-Year” nod. The celebrated star has appeared on national media programs ranging from the ACM Presents:
Superstar Duets on CBS to The Tonight Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, The View, Entertainment Tonight and Austin City Limits. He also made his big screen debut in the feature film, Murder at Yellowstone City.
Nichols released his long-awaited new album, Good Day For Living, on February 11, 2022. The 13-song collection features previous single and title track, “Good Day For Living,” his first top 20 and rising at country radio in nearly a decade. His brand new radio single, “Brokenhearted” – also from his Good Day For Living album and written by Rhett Akins, Marv Green, and John Thomas Harding, officially impacted country radio on June 20 and was among the most added.
Aaron Lewis, the Vermont-born powerhouse first found success with Staind – the 2000s-era hard rockers who injected meditative muscle into an era better known for mindless aggression. But while that band is still very much alive, it was never enough to satisfy Lewis’ creative drive. Embracing his roots to earn a rare second round of success, a series of solo Country projects have led to two No. 1 Billboard Country Album debuts – TOWN LINE (2011) and SINNER (2016) – plus a PLATINUM collab with heroes George Jones and Charlie Daniels (“Country Boy”), and a GOLD-certified Billboard No. 1 with “Am I The Only One” in 2021. Lewis’ 2022 solo album followed suit, with FRAYED AT BOTH ENDS emerging as the best-selling Country album in America, but he never wrote songs for the stats. No matter the sonic setting, Lewis writes and sings to get his truth out and his upcoming album THE HILL is no different.
In his 25-year career in Country music, Trace Adkins has sold over 11 MILLION albums, charted over 20
singles, earned numerous awards and GRAMMY nominations, and garnered over TWO BILLION streams.
A Grand Ole Opry member for nearly two decades, the Louisiana native is known for dynamic baritone and fiery, always-memorable live performances, and has expanded his Country career to include film and TV acting. He broke out in 1996 with the debut album, DREAMIN’ OUT LOUD, cracking the Top 5 of Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart with “Every Light In the House Is On” and following with the #1 smash, “This Ain’t (No Thinkin’ Thing).” Since then, Adkins has pioneered a mix of classic Country minded traditionalism and adventurous, good-natured showmanship, breaking open new avenues in modern Country through fun-filled hits like “Honky Tonk Badonkadonk” and “Hillbilly Bone” (with Blake Shelton).
He’ll celebrate the silver anniversary of his album debut in 2021 with THE WAY I WANNA GO, doing exactly what he always has – mixing pure-Country reverence with standout ollaborations featuring Blake Shelton, Melissa Etheridge, Snoop Dogg, Stevie Wonder on harmonica and more. Adkins’ newest video “Love Walks Through the Rain” (featuring Melissa Etheridge) is available everywhere now.
The band’s live shows are legendary. Having been described as “the Rolling
Stones of Country Music,” the band bounds onto the stage night after night, delivering its own unique brand of high-energy entertainment, and the band remains a perennial favorite at fairs, festivals, theatres, and casinos. The band has earned its place as one of the premier live acts in music. A traveling band, indeed. Always on the move—on the road, on stage, and in their career. The band began by playing 275-300 nights a year for the first decade or more of its career—and has never come off the road. Tireless road warriors, the band thrives on playing live. Mark Miller and his band mates have been singing our life back to us now over the span of the band’s twenty-three albums since the early 1980's playing more than 4,500 shows and counting. More than a million miles behind them and still seeing the highway miles click by outside their bus window.
Twenty-three albums. More than 50 chart singles. CMA, ACM, and CMT awards on the shelf. To pull a line from one of the band’s enduring hits: “This is the life and times of a
travelin’ band.”
