Dude, what can i say. ive been waiting 2 years to see these guys. worth the wait! Venue was awesome, tiny little place down the back of angel underground station. the bar was an underground train. the stage was tiny so you got nice and close. the room could only fit about 200 people which meant you weren't getting crushed. even thought there was only about 150 people max the atmosphere was immense! worked the crowd perfectly. if they got a larger venue with some pyrotechnics it would be off the hook! the songs from the first album were all played perfectly, with not 1 bad song choice throughout the whole set. playing their new song 'hotel' was an eye opener, i mean the track sounds good on your ipod but live, it was even BETTER! seeing all 5 members all moving in sync and bopping in time with each other, combined with their harmonies proves how in-sync they are, you dont see that alot. if they keep up the idie pop, jack white/hendrix, electronic, harmonic sound theyll blow up bigger than fukushima! awesome music awesome venue awesome atmosphere awesome crowd awesome sound awesome band
I first saw Dog is Dead when they supported Bombay Bicycle Club on one of their tours. Dog is Dead performed and their energy and youthful passion for music shone through and sent an electric wave like atmosphere to the crowd! It was immense.
I love their upbeat music; great to have a little jump and jig too which is lovely, as you feel part of their music magic. You should check them out as they perform with such passion and yet supply a laidback friendly vibe, which entices you as a listener to get involved and feel part of their performance.
I've seen them at countless venues including bigger venues where they have supported live acts to smaller venues where they have had their own show. I love more intimate gigs, you feel part of the band almost and the tracks feel more personal to you.
I wish they'd get the recognition they deserve so please go along and see them! I order you! I wish the band much success in the future and I'm sure they will keep growing in popularity. Please don't get too big though as I love seeing them in small venues! Hehe.
