Description :

How cute and quirky is this transformation of bottles into something totally regal – Victorian keys! Make some for yourself too.

STEP 1 : Source the base
  • We are going to convert the glass bottles to the old antique keys using Moldit.
  • Take plain glass bottles.
STEP 2 : Mix Mouldit
  • Take Mouldit resin base and hardener, mix it thoroughly to make even dough.
STEP 3 : Moulding the parts
  • Take the dough, roll it to make a medium thin slab with a rolling pin.
  • Mark and cut the slab to make the wards of the key, the decorative bow of the key with clay carving tools and Fabric Glue to make the design on the bow further.
  • Let it get semi dry.
  • Stick the key wards and the decorative bow on the bottle appropriately with Fabric Glue.
  • Let it dry.
  • Refer to the image.
STEP 4 : Painting the key.
  • Paint the bottle keys with Acrylic Colours Burnt Sienna 01, Black 02, Dark Brown 05 and dry brush strokes of Teal Blue 68 to give the patina metal look.
  • Leave it to dry completely
